Today, on International Education Day, H**p Fauna Foundation celebrates the power of education to transform fear into understanding and knowledge into conservation action. Education is the strongest tool we have to protect reptiles and amphibians species that are often misunderstood yet vital to healthy ecosystems.

Through conservation education, community outreach, and hands-on learning, we aim to inspire curiosity, respect, and responsibility toward herpetofauna. When people learn the truth about these species, they become protectors rather than persecutors.

On this day, we reaffirm our commitment to inclusive, science-based education that empowers communities, nurtures future conservationists, and ensures a safer future for herpetofauna and the environments we all depend on.

Meet 𝗔𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝘂𝗴𝗼𝘆𝗮 𝗪𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘄, one of our 2025 Future Leaders of Amphibian Conservation Program awardees.

Abraham’s research interests center on human-wildlife coexistence, particularly addressing human-reptile conflicts. His current project on conservation education and its role in transforming public perception of amphibians aims to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and public attitudes.

As the head of research, monitoring, and survey at 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗽 𝗙𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗮, Abraham will use this opportunity to deepen grassroots conservation efforts that protect herpetofauna across Uganda and beyond.
