Confederation for Empowering Africa (CEA) is a membership based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) formed in Moyo. The organisation started as a Community Base Organisation (CBO) in 2013 to contribute in addressing the reported problems of youth unemployment, high poverty levels and malnutrition in West Nile. From her inception, CEA has been committed in working with youths and farmers in address
ing these problems in Moyo district. Due to the fact that there are very few development organisations working with the communities of West Nile region to achieve the desired goal, there is an overwhelming need to reach out more youths and farmers in the region. This has motivated the founders of CEA to register the organisation as a local NGO by the national NGO Board in March 2015. The purpose is to reach out more youths and farmers within the region and beyond in empowering communities for improved livelihoods, improved health through proper nutrition and proper utilization of natural resources in.
