*WHEN YOU SEE THE LORD II*

*Luke 5:8-9 (NKJV):* “When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, ‘Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!’ For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken.”

When Peter saw the great multitude of fish, he fell at the knees of Jesus and said, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!” That miracle brought him to his knees.

God wants to do great things in your life and bring you to a place of repentance because of those very things.

This repentance is not necessarily repentance from a moral wrong. It is repentance from the places where you limited God in your imagination. It is repentance from the smallness of your expectation and the boundaries you placed around what He is able to do. It is a change of mind that broadens the room for possibility in your spirit.

God wants to surprise you with great doors, wondrous opportunities, divine connections, uncommon favour, and unexpected manifestations of His goodness until your mind about what He can do is completely transformed.

He wants to do something so unexpected and unprecedented that you will turn to Him and say, “Forgive me, Lord. I did not know You could save and deliver like this. I did not know You could elevate, favour, and lift like this. I did not know You could overwhelm a man with goodness like this.”

God wants to do so much that you realise you dreamt too small.

He wants to answer so greatly that you realise you asked for too little.
He wants to manifest Himself so powerfully that you realise you have been limiting Him in prayer. May God astonish you with His goodness. May He do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think. Hallelujah!

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." — John 6:63 (KJV)
Meaning in the Original Greek
The phrase "the flesh profiteth nothing" comes from:
ἡ σὰρξ οὐκ ὠφελεῖ οὐδέν
hē sarx ouk ōphelei ouden
σὰρξ (sarx) = flesh, human nature, human effort, natural life apart from God's Spirit.
ὠφελεῖ (ōphelei) = profits, benefits, helps, accomplishes.
οὐδέν (ouden) = nothing at all.
A literal translation would be:
"The flesh benefits nothing at all."
What Jesus Was Saying
Jesus was not teaching that the physical body has no value. He Himself became flesh, healed bodies, and was raised bodily from the dead.
In this context, Jesus was teaching that human effort alone cannot produce spiritual life. Eternal life comes through the Spirit of God, not through natural human ability.
This is why the verse continues:
"The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."
Related Scriptures
Romans 8:8
"So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God."
Galatians 5:16
"Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh."
Philippians 3:3
"We... have no confidence in the flesh."
Connection with "I Beat My Body"
When 1 Corinthians 9:27 says:
"But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection..."
Paul is not saying the body is evil. He is teaching that the body must be brought under the rule of the Spirit so that it serves God's purpose.
So:
"The flesh profits nothing" = human effort and natural ability cannot produce spiritual life.
"I beat my body" = discipline the body so it obeys the Spirit.
Eternal life (Greek: zoe) comes from the Spirit and from knowing God, not from the flesh.
This harmonizes with John 17:3:
"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."

*WHEN YOU SEE THE LORD I*

*1 Corinthians 9:1 (NKJV):* “Am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord?”

The vision of Christ is one of the most defining experiences for any child of God.

Throughout the Scriptures, no one saw the Lord and remained the same.

Abraham saw the Lord and inherited the world as the father of many nations. Moses saw the Lord and is remembered as the great lawgiver. Isaiah saw the Lord and was propelled several years into the future to give the world the prophecy of the coming Christ. David saw the Lord and showed generations how to worship God. Paul saw the Lord and laid the foundation of the revelation of the New Testament.

You must have a vision of God, not merely as the world defines Him, but as He truly is.

Why is this very vital?

A famous hymn reminds us to turn our eyes upon Jesus, and as we do, the things of this world grow strangely dim. Any man who sees the Lord sees from a higher vantage point in the spirit. By this vision, the things of this world begin to fold, shrink, and lose the power they once had over his heart and imagination.

When you see the Lord, what once looked impossible begins to look small in the light of His greatness. By that vision, running a big and global ministry becomes a small thing because of the place from which you see. Running a multimillion-dollar business becomes a small thing, folded into a smaller reality because of the height of your vision. That innovative idea takes on the form of possibility because of the Lord you have seen. Praise Him!

*KINGDOM FINANCE PRINCIPLES: MONEY SHOULD NOT COMMAND YOU*

*Ecclesiastes 10:19 (NKJV):* “A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes merry; but money answers everything.”

God designed money to answer to His children, not to command them.

When a man is commanded by money, it means that money has become his master and his god. This is why Jesus said in Matthew 6:24, “No one can serve two masters... You cannot serve God and mammon.”

Money is a servant. It should never become the voice that defines your character, your choices, your relationships, your honour, or your obedience to God.

How do you know that a man or woman is under the command of money?

One of the signs is an adverse change in values, attitude, and character because of money. For example, before some people were elevated financially, they were courteous and warm. They greeted their friends and honoured the people around them. But ever since money started whispering in their ears that they are now better than those they once walked with, they can pass by without even a simple hello. That is money commanding a man.

For others, they will do anything for money but cannot do the same for God and His Kingdom. Their sacrifices for money can never compare to their sacrifices for the gospel. They can wake up early, stay up late, cross borders, endure pressure, and inconvenience themselves for financial gain, yet become tired, unavailable, or uninterested when it comes to the things of God. That, too, is a sign of a man or woman under the command of money.

The Bible says in Psalm 62:10, “If riches increase, do not set your heart on them.” Therefore, refuse to be commanded by money. Let money answer to the purposes of God in your life. Let it serve the gospel. Let it bless men. Let it solve problems. Let it advance the Kingdom. But never let it sit on the throne of your heart. Hallelujah!

*FURTHER STUDY:* Matthew 6:24; 1 Timothy 6:17-18

*GOLDEN NUGGET:* Refuse to be commanded by money. Let money answer to the purposes of God in your life. Let it serve the gospel. Let it bless men. Let it solve problems. Let it advance the Kingdom. But never let it sit on the throne of your heart.

*PRAYER:* Father, I thank You for the wisdom of Your Word. I refuse to be ruled, commanded, or defined by money. My heart belongs to You. My values, character, honour, humility, and obedience are not for sale. As You increase me, keep my heart humble, generous, and yielded to Your purposes. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

*THE GOD OF PROMISE*

*Luke 2:25-30 (NKJV):* “And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. So he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law, he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said: ‘Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, according to Your word; for my eyes have seen Your salvation.’”

In our theme scripture, Simeon had received a divine promise that he would not see death until he had seen the Lord’s Christ.

The Bible presents him to us as a just and devout man, waiting for the Consolation of Israel. We can imagine that throughout his lifetime, he may have faced many challenges. Some may have been life-threatening. He may have encountered situations that seemed strong enough to destroy him. However, nothing he faced had the power to take his life before the fulfilment of God’s Word. Simeon was not alive merely because he knew how to preserve himself. He was alive because of the promise God had spoken over his life. He had to see the Lord’s Christ.

Child of God, this is the confidence you must carry. You are a man or woman under covenant. You are preserved by the promises of God. There are things that will never prematurely end you because of what God has spoken concerning your life. The storm may rise, but it cannot cancel the promise. The enemy may threaten, but he cannot frustrate what God has ordained.

If you ever find yourself in a trying situation or overwhelmed by circumstances, ask yourself, “What has God spoken over my life?” Then declare with faith, “I will live to see it!”

Has He said you will lend to nations? You must live to see it.
Has He said you will pastor multitudes? You must live to see it.
Has He said your children are for signs and wonders? You must live to see it.

You will not die before the manifestation of what God has spoken. You will live to see

*FAITH IS NOT TIME-BOUND*

*Mark 4:12 (KJV):* “That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.”

Have you ever wondered why one person hears the Word of God and immediately receives a miracle, while another hears the same Word and takes a while to see the manifestation of that truth?

This question has caused many to wonder whether God reserves miracles for some people only during specific seasons, or whether He chooses to heal some while ignoring others.

This, of course, is not true.

God is not partial or selective in His goodness. He does not withhold His power from one child while freely giving it to another.

Our theme scripture introduces a very important truth in the faith equation when it says, “lest at any time.”

This matter of time is not about whether God wants to answer you or not. It is about whether you see, perceive, and understand His truth, and by that understanding position your spirit to receive what grace has already made available.

The phrase “lest at any time” means that a man may receive his miracle right now, while another may receive the same truth years later. The difference is not in God’s willingness. The difference is in spiritual perception. One person sees the miracle now and receives it now. Another person sees it much later and receives it then.

So choose, child of God. Be the one who sees it now and receives it now. Be the one who does not postpone their “lest at any time.” Be the one whose “any time” is this hour, this minute, and this very second. Hallelujah!

*FURTHER STUDY:* Romans 10:8-10; Hebrews 11:1

*GOLDEN NUGGET:* The phrase “lest at any time” means that a man may receive his miracle right now, while another may receive the same truth years later. The difference is not in God’s willingness. The difference is in spiritual perception.

*PRAYER:* Father, I thank You because Your Word is true, living, and powerful. I refuse to limit my faith by time. I choose to see what You have made available to me in Christ. I believe that Your grace and power are present. I receive my healing, restoration, and deliverance. Today, I walk in the manifestation of Your promises. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
