Give A future Uganda is registered as a Non Government Organisation-NGO under the laws of Uganda. The name was adopted on the 22nd day of march 2012 by Mr. Dan Gwabya and Mrs. Jessica the brain child behind this charity center conceived the idea after coming face to face with the harsh realities and challenges that affected members of their community of Mityana town council in Mityana district. S
ome of the fundamental challenges include interalia acute poverty ,perpetual shortage and lack of access to social amenities, hindrance to access to basic needs like water ,food, shelter ,the desire to help orphans ,the HIV positive, the elderly, and youth hence its upon this premise that Give A future Uganda came to the fore hence the founders found it necessary to liberate their community so as to empower them economically, spiritually ,culturally ,and in the social spectrum. The Head office and Area of operation is located in Mityana Town Council in Mityana District 50 Miles from Kampala Uganda's Capital-East Africa. Objectives of the organization
To meet the basic survival needs of the poor, orphan children including food, shelter, clothing, medical care and clean water. To provide financial support to the vulnerable and school drop outs so as to facilitate them continue with education within the community. To provide sensitization on the scourge of the deadly HIV AIDS and the necessary preventive mechanism, treatment so as to foster a generation free of HIV AIDS in this community. To provide a platform for the marginalized to realize their full potential i.e. persons with disabilities, children, widows, and the elderly through acting as their mouth piece to foster their social transformation. To inculcate values of hard work, mutual respect, unity as a tool for promoting cultural, spiritual, moral values in a bid to enhance co existence within the community in respect to children’s rights. To assist and encourage the government of Uganda to better implement its responsibilities and obligations and encourage child protection. To support efforts to keep children in or return them to, the care of their family, if these endeavors fail, we advocate finding other appropriate and permanent solution for children, which includes adoption. To protect children and provide alternative care necessarily to promote of children’s rights.
