Better Lives Mityana (BLM) is a registered non-profit, non-government, community based organization founded to care for and educate needy children, orphans, and children affected by HIV/AIDS in the Mityana community. The office of the organization is based in Mityana Municipality, Kiyinda B L.C 1. Currently, BLM partners with Mother Care Primary School Mityana, one of the best primary schools in M

ityana, to provide quality education to children regardless of their tribe, religion, color or ability. This partnership enables children who are sponsored through BLM to receive a quality education. BLM is also working to build a school of it's own, St. Catherine of Alexandria Primary School. This school will provide free and reduced cost education to children who cannot otherwise afford school. This school will provide access to education for many more children than our current education sponsorship can provide. Please contact us if you would like to donate to this project! Objectives:
-To build a vocational institution for the orphaned children which they can acquire skills like tailoring, catering, carpentry etc...
-To create awareness on the prevalence of HIV/AIDS and the best behavior practice
-To teach orphans about Christ and lead them to recognize Him as their Lord and personal savior
-To provide health care to vulnerable orphans
-To provide empowerment projects to the needy people
-To provide psychological counseling to orphans and victims of the war especially those from northern Uganda
-To teach out to all people and the abandoned people in our communities

Thank you to everyone who made our 2026 Easter outreach a success! What a gift to be able to celebrate Christ's resurrection with a special meal.

Going forward, we will only have an annual fundraiser for Easter as opposed to both Christmas and Easter. We hope that this will help consolidate our support to one larger annual event rather than two smaller events.

As we approach Easter, we're starting our fundraising for our Annual Easter Food Outreach program!

In the past we have done both Easter and Christmas Food Outreach programs, but going forward we will only be doing Easter. We hope that this means that we can raise more money for an annual event to give more food to each family, rather than doing less food twice a year.

💐Easter is just 2 weeks away, so we are preparing for our annual Easter food outreach program in Kunywa village. 💐

The goal is to receive $2000 in donations to feed the entire village and share the joy of Easter. A fundraiser at St Raphael Catholic Church in Alaska has provided $800, so we're looking for a remaining $1200 in other donations. Hi, it has been a while since i last put a post about our progress, we have not done anymore , because we run out of funds, but we are happy that we were able to reach this fur, we thank everyone who contributed, we thank the community who helped us in different areas, our hearts are happy whenever we go and see what we managed to put up, our trees 🌲 are grown, we have been getting food from the banana plantation we put up for 2years now, and we have put more matterial that will help us when we start building .
