Creating a positive change for the disadvantaged people and transforming peopleeveloped communities in Uganda through entrepreneurship, voluntarism and humanitarianism. VISION
To create a positive change to the disadvantaged people through building their capacities and communities in Uganda. MISSION
To promote and facilitate support to the disadvantaged groups of people in the community and build their resilience through;
Enhancing local capacities for self-reliance
Providing voluntary community support services to the disadvantaged people and the community at large
Fighting HIV/AIDS and Malaria
Fighting SGBV and Prostitution
Reducing the number of child mother and child-headed families
Fighting stress and frustrations by creating peaceful environment and coexistence through plays and sports
Empowering Youths through voluntarism, sensitisation and comprehensive outreach services
Promoting Education of Orphans and Girl-children
Promoting Adults' Literacy
Fighting against School dropouts. Areas Of Operation
welfare Action Mission Organisation (WAMO) shall operate in the areas and communities in and outside Mbarara Municipality. However, for the start we are in BUREMBA, KAKOBA, MBARARA MUNICIPALITY, but doing expansion meetings in other areas of the Municipality and outside the municipality as the communities are constantly inviting us to operate in their areas. Community structures shall be created in different areas of operation to facilitate Welfare Action Mission Organisation (WAMO) for easy implementation of projects and as a strategy to achieve the greatest level of success. The main concern of Welfare Action Mission Organisation (WAMO) is the kind of life people lead while in their homesteads. Most men, women, children and youths in different parts of Uganda do not have formal education. Most women and children have suffered a number of violence ranging from sexual abuse and exploitation, human rights abuse, psychological and physical torture and no means of livelihood....
