GETS - Girls Empowered To Serve GETS is the pioneer ministry of Community Christian Family Ministries. Girls Empowered To Serve (GETS) is the pioneer ministry of CCFM.

ring, computer literacy. These skills will prepare them for life in higher institutions and also enable them to contribute to Christian witnessing more effectively. The girls are contacted through elder Christians like patrons of Scripture Union and Christian head mistresses. These are requested to identify Christian girls who have the potential to be trained and mentored to serve God. They are informed and given time to think about it, pray and respond. As they train there is time for practicals application of what they have studied. This is done specifically in the villages targeted to be reached to help the poor and orphaned children through the church. They preach the gospel, and help with some practical work like teaching and gardening. Through this outreach the ministry will get to the poor people and through the church identify the ones to help with fees and scholastic materials while they stay in their homes or with their relatives but registered with CCFM. The project keeps a weekend program to teach them morals and the word of God. Initially GETS is being run by volunteers from churches and other Christian organisations in Mbarara and beyond. Later, full time staff shall be recruited, but volunteers and interns shall still contribute towards the cause. The girls stay at the directors' home in Ruharo, Mbarara where they have boarding facilities, training materials and books availed to them. Once the Community Center is built, the GETS shall move there. The first intake of GETS was on 28th February 2010 with 4 girls, Naomi, Sarah, Dorcas and Victo who had just completed Senior 6 and were on long vacation waiting to go to university.

Thank You Lord ! Thank you for your love and mercy, for honor and majesty are found in you and you alone! Thank you Lord for we find strength and joy in you ! You are yours Lord and nothing can separate us from you! You are at work Lord and we praise You mighty God! Yes Lord, you are full of compassion and comfort those who are suffering, in trouble and in loss. This morning Father we pray that as your word says, comfort all those who have lost, whichever loss, it all hurts. Those with fear due to loss, encourage them, those grieving due to loss of a loved ones to death, Jehovah, comfort them and grant them your peace Lord, those who are anxious and worried because of loss of jobs, property, business, loss of marriages, of relationship... Lord remind us you are our provider and you have promised never to leave us alone, you will continue providing. Have your way to these hearts that are going through the trying time, touch the sick Lord. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

It is a new day and a day of worship. Lord God Almighty we worship you, we honour you King of glory, may your name be magnified. Lord God, this is your will for us, to rejoice always, pray constantly and to give thanks in all circumstances. Lord you know how weak we are in all this but we thank you God of mercy, you are faithful and forgiving. As you were, you are and you will be, blessed be your name. Thank you Lord for this beautiful day and new opportunities. God Almighty, everlasting father, we thank you for your love, protection, mercy, kindness, guidance and understanding. Thank you for the free gift of life. There is none like you. In anything and everything, may we always give thanks. You deserve all the praise father. Lord heal the sick and comfort the bereaved. Thank you Lord God Almighty, it is a new day and we are grateful for life. God our creator, you know all things and you can do all things. God our Father, to you the nations are like a drop in a bucket, help us to see things from your perspective. The ebola outbreak, the economy, politics, corruption, poverty, violence, injustice... are all before you God of authority. How beautiful it is to trust you, to believe in you, to put our hope in you our faithful God. To know that you can do all things. Nothing is too hard or too big for you, all that seems or is too big for us, we can surrender to you. Take control of our health, our families, our provision, our all. This morning we surrender, Lord take control of everything. We know that you love us, whatever happens, please take control and help us keep focused on you, you will carry us through. It is a new day, every new day deserves a celebration, it is a manifestation of the grace of God. We bless the Lord God our Father, our maker, He knows all things and He can do all things, we are so blessed to be His children. Teach us Lord, to depend on you completely, to let you weigh our motives. Teach us to commit to you whatever we do so that you will establish our plans. You love us, you hear and answer our prayers. No situation is beyond you , help us to have faith in you, enough faith to overcome our own self imposed limitations, we are children of the most high God, the Sovereign God. God our Father, this morning we come before you, we lay our everything at your feet. As you promise us in your word that we should not be anxious about anything, but instead make our requests known to you in prayer..we all come with our everything this morning, we surrender to you. Thank you God Almighty for knowing each and everyone of us and everything that is weighing us down: In the midst of the threat of ebola and all that has come as a result of this attack. Sickness, death, suspicion, mistrust and more. God have mercy. We know there is more than we can mention here and now, still we thank you God our Father, we put our hope and faith in you...teach us to trust in you because you are faithful and dependable, our refuge times oftrouble..you are our refuge and when we feel afraid we will run to you. Lord God, we worship you and honour you King of glory, may your name be glorified Most High, even in the midst of everything. We pray Father that you take control of everything. The mountains melt like wax before the Lord , before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all peoples see his glory. All who worship images are put to shame, those who boast in idols— worship him, all you gods! Zion hears and rejoices and the villages of Judah are glad because of your judgments, Lord . For you, Lord , are the Most High over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods. Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Light shines on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart. Rejoice in the Lord , you who are righteous, and praise his holy name.

Our Father in heaven, you are Holy, we exalt your name. Honour, Power and Majesty belong to you. We magnify you Lord, all praise belongs to you. We bless your name dear Lord. Be glorified in our lives now and forevermore. The Lord reigns !! The Lord reigns...It is a privilege this morning to read and meditate on your word, to worship the most high God together with the Psalmist . Thank you Jesus for the new day, we need your grace, wisdom, provision. You are our God, blessed be your name. You have protected us in the night and granted us good sleep thank you. Lord You are awesome, You are mighty. You are good. Who is like you Lord. You are the mighty man of war who fights our battles. We run to You, our strong tower. You redeem us from sin. Your mercies and grace are new every morning. Thank you Lord. You are our God, blessed be your name. Please touch the sick and the elderly, comfort the bereaved and all those who are hurting. It is a new day praise the Lord God Almighty. Thank you Lord that we can come to Your throne in prayer and obtain mercy, we can come to Your courts with praise and thanksgiving, tell you whatever is on our hearts, you hear us and accept us as we are. We can tell you anything and there is nothing too hard for you, we honor and thank you for the gift of prayer. Thank you lord that through it we are able to have fellowship with you. Thank you that we can call unto you and you hear us and respond to our requests. Thank you for the power that comes through Prayer. Teach us to pray whatever situation we may be in. And Lord God, thank you for the songs we sing that speak of your majesty ! Thank you for the inspiration, gifting and anointing you have given your people in music, thank you for words and tunes and rhythms to Worship and praise You. We thank you Lord for hymns, choruses, rounds, orchestras, instrumentals, dances and all of it so we can just rejoice in your presence like David did. Thank you Lord for the manifestation of your Spirit when we sing, even through tears, shouts, claps, rejoicing, praises, how wonderful it is! Thank you for the blessing of fellowship where we can sing praises all together. Father, touch the sick and comfort the bereaved. Amen.

OUR GOD is the Everlasting God, who is unchanged, who is unchangeable, who is inexhaustible; who spends and is unspent, Who gives and is none the poorer, Who works and is never wearied, Who lives and with no tendency to death in His life, Who flames with no tendency to extinction in the blaze. This is the God we WORSHIP: Hallelujah! He is everlasting in every aspect and attribute of His divine being. On this Sunday morning, the day of worship. We cry out to you God our creator, hear our cry, the voice of our supplications. We hope in your word, O Uganda, hope in the Lord because in Him, there is mercy, there is abundant redemption and He will redeem us. Holy Lord, God Almighty; We come before You this morning with thanksgiving in our hearts to worship You ! There is no one like You Lord, you are greatly to be praised, none compares to You. You are God all by Yourself. We ascribe glory, power, honor, strength and blessing unto You Lord! You reign forever more! Blessed be Your name! 1 John 5 : 14--15 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that is we ask anything according to His will, He hears. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

This morning, let us pray that God will place a hunger in us for His word. There's no effective prayer without His word. That we shall read, study, meditate and memorize the word of God. Holy Spirit the Word says that you will teach us all things. Make us warriors in prayer, we come now and surrender to the call to prayer. We want to be fervent and effective in prayer so that our prayers will avail much. Transform us as we pray. Transform our loved ones, transform Uganda and our society too. Establish your will in every area of our lives as we pray. Wake us up in the night to pray. Teach us how to tarry in your presence. Father place the anointing of a warrior upon each one us in the name of Jesus Christ! Lord give us teachable spirits to another to love one another, to value life and stop violence, murder and all other offences against one another as humans. You God, order our steps Lord that we may be game changers, influencers through prayer. We refuse to remain the same in the name of Jesus Christ. We are arising to change our situations as we speak forth Your word and change our areas of influence. The devil is a liar and a loser. Touch the sick, comfort the bereaved. On this newday, we thank you for creating us and giving us to each other in the human family. Thank you for being with us in all our joys and sorrows, for your comfort in our sadness, your companionship in our loneliness. Thank you for yesterday, today, tomorrow, and for the whole of our lives. God of all blessings, giver of all grace, we thank you for the gift of life, for the breath that sustains life, for the food of this earth that nurtures life, for the love of family and friends without which life would be meaningless. We thank you for the mystery of creation, for the beauty that the eye can see. We thank you for setting us in communities, for families who nurture our becoming, for friends who love us by choice, for companions at work, who share our burdens and daily tasks, for strangers who welcome us into their midst, for children who lighten our moments with delight, for the unborn, who offer us hope for the future. Lord God Almighty, we worship You, You are great and glorious, none compares with You. Creator of heaven and earth, You are God alone. You are the same God, yesterday today and forever. You do not change, thank you for your consistence in being good and in doing good, your love endures forever. God our creator, we thank you for your love. God of mercy, thank you for you forgive us our sins. Thank you that you hear us when we pray, you answer our prayers just like you answered Hezekiah's cry. This morning as we come before you heavenly Father, we thank you because you know each one of us, every little detail about us. You know our heart's cry, please hear us we pray through the precious name of your son Jesus Christ. Hear our cry as a church and as a nation still in this week of nyegenyege festival. Have your way Lord God Almighty. We know that you love us and you love Uganda. You care about this generation. In Jesus's name we pray. Amen
