🌙 Eid Mubarak to all
On this blessed occasion, I extend my heartfelt wishes to all Muslims around the world. May this sacred time bring peace, blessings, good health, and prosperity to you and your loved ones.
Eid is more than a celebration it is a powerful reminder of the values that unite us as human beings: love for one another, generosity, compassion, and solidarity. It is a time to reflect, to give, and to stand together, especially with those facing hardship.
Today, millions of displaced families around the world continue to show incredible resilience despite difficult living conditions. Within refugee communities, we witness strength, hope, and determination every single day but also a growing need for opportunities, support, and sustainable solutions.
Through my work with Youth Refugees United for Development (YRUD), I have seen how small actions sharing knowledge, empowering youth, supporting livelihoods, or simply standing in solidarity can create lasting change. When communities are given the chance to rise, they do not just survive they thrive.
✹ This Eid, let us be intentional in our kindness. Let us choose to uplift others, to build bridges, and to contribute each in our own way to a future where dignity, opportunity, and hope are accessible to all.
Because real change begins when we care, when we act, and when we stand together.
Together for a better world.

Across many refugee communities, young people and women have the potential to build better futures but too often they lack access to sustainable livelihood opportunities.
At Youth Refugees United for Development (YRUD), we believe that refugees should not only receive aid, but also be empowered to build resilient and self-reliant communities.That is why we are launching an initiative focused on sustainable permaculture livelihoods in Nakivale Refugee Settlement, Uganda.
Our approach integrates three complementary activities:
🐔 Poultry farming
🐟 Fish farming
đŸŒ± Vegetable production
By combining these activities into a single integrated system, we aim to:
‱ Improve food security for refugee households
‱ Create income opportunities for refugee youth and women
‱ Promote sustainable and climate-friendly farming practices
‱ Strengthen community self-reliance and dignity
This initiative will also serve as a community demonstration and learning site, where participants can gain practical skills and share knowledge that can be replicated by other families.
At YRUD, we strongly believe that sustainable solutions come from empowering communities themselves.
We are currently open for partnerships and collaboration with organizations, experts, and individuals interested in:
‱ Refugee livelihoods
‱ Sustainable agriculture
‱ Community development
‱ Social impact initiatives
If this initiative resonates with your work or mission, I would be glad to connect and explore potential collaboration.

In Nakivale Refugee Settlement, access to clean water remains a daily struggle.
Every morning in Nakivale Refugee Settlement, Uganda, women and children wake up before sunrise not to go to school or work, but to walk long distances in search of water. Water that is often unsafe, untreated, and dangerous—yet it is their only option for survival.
According to recent UNICEF reports, many refugee communities in Uganda, including Nakivale, continue to face critical gaps in access to safe drinking water, with water availability in some areas far below humanitarian standards. As a result, families are forced to rely on unsafe water sources, increasing the risk of waterborne diseases.
This is not just an infrastructure problem.
It is a health crisis: children fall sick from preventable diseases.
It is a dignity issue: people spend hours queuing for what should be a basic human right.
It is an education and livelihood challenge: time lost fetching water is time stolen from the future.
I live this reality.
I am a Congolese refugee living in Nakivale since 2016 and the Founder of Youth Refugees United for Development (YRUD). Together with the community, we believe that refugees are not only beneficiaries of aid, but leaders of solutions.
Today, we are calling on humanitarian actors, institutions, companies, and committed individuals to join us in building sustainable, community-led solutions for access to clean water.
One safe water point can protect an entire community.
One partnership can restore dignity and hope.
Water is life.
And every life deserves protection.

🌍💧 Projet Eau – Village de New Hope 💧🌍

‱ La situation humanitaire actuelle des rĂ©fugiĂ©s, qui demeure extrĂȘmement prĂ©occupante ;
‱ La scolarisation des enfants orphelins, avec un engagement à les accompagner jusqu’à l’obtention du diplîme d’État ;
‱ L’accĂšs aux soins de santĂ© pour les enfants vulnĂ©rables ;
‱ La distribution de vivres et de biens non alimentaires aux familles les plus dĂ©munies ;
‱ La construction d’un canal d’évacuation des eaux devant notre bureau, afin de faciliter l’accĂšs au site ;

‱ Nos statuts lĂ©gaux et certificats d’enregistrement ;
‱ Des relevĂ©s et documents bancaires ;

💡 Chaque famille a reçu :

Chaque don, chaque partage, chaque mot d’encouragement compte.
