Each of us is entrusted with a sacred allocation of time to learn, to teach, and to act in service of our shared mission. At Last Planet we dedicate ours to healing our planet: rescuing waste through recycling, restoring balance by planting trees, and advocating for a cleaner, greener future.

Yet, as Rabbi Tzvi Freeman reminds us, time is a divine gift—meant not just for making a living, but for lifting others and stewarding the world we share. Let us never confuse busyness with purpose, nor neglect our role as both students and teachers in the work of tikkun olam (repairing the world).

To our Jewish friends and partners, may this week ahead be filled with light, blessing, and the joy of meaningful progress. Shavua Tov wishing you a productive and rewarding week! 🌱♻️

"Do not destroy the world, for if you do, there will be nobody after you to repair it." (Midrash Kohelet Rabbah 7:13)

Today is the day! 🎉 LAST PLANET has officially launched our Pre-Shabbat Cleanup—and the response has been incredible! Together, we’re turning love for Hashem’s Creation into tangible action, cleaning our land, recycling waste, and directly supporting Jewish families in need.

📢 Here’s What’s Happening:

1. We’re Cleaning NOW: Volunteers across Uganda are gathering to remove plastic and waste from streets, parks, rivers,Lakes and beaches.

2. We’re Recycling Responsibly: Every piece collected is sorted - some recycled, some repurposed—so nothing goes to waste.

3. We’re Feeding Souls: Proceeds fund Shabbat meals, Kiddush supplies, and essentials for struggling jewish families.

📍 Want to Join? There’s Still Time!

đź—“ When: Every Friday Morning before Shabbat (starting TODAY!)

🌱 Shabbat Shalom from Last Planet!

📚 Through our Plastic for Education program, we’ve helped over 20 schools with learning materials and tikkun olam (repairing the world) workshops.

Kids discover the value of recycling plastic while improving their classrooms teaching them to be shomrei adamah (guardians of the earth).

Let’s inspire the next generation to lead the way in sustainability!
