๐‘ฐ๐’ 2014, a small idea was born, a WhatsApp group that brought together sons and daughters of Nyondo and its surrounding areas. That idea grew into something bigger, and today, Baana Bengo is a vibrant community that has stood strong for 11 ๐’š๐’†๐’‚๐’“๐’”.

The roots of our digital presence, however, go back even further. ๐‘ฐ๐’ 2012 one of our senior members, who now serves as the current Chairman of Baana Bengo, created the page โ€œ๐‘ต๐’š๐’๐’๐’…๐’ ๐’€๐’๐’–๐’•๐’‰๐’”.โ€ years later, in 2014, ๐’•๐’‰๐’† ๐‘พ๐’‰๐’‚๐’•๐’”๐‘จ๐’‘๐’‘ ๐’ˆ๐’“๐’๐’–๐’‘ ๐’˜๐’‚๐’” ๐’‡๐’๐’“๐’Ž๐’†๐’…,further connecting the community. Then, in 2016, the page was renamed โ€œ๐—ก๐˜†๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ผ-๐—•๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ผโ€ to bring together all people, young and old, who hail from Nyondo, or who have once lived or studied there. The group later adopted its official logo in 2017. Today, the page is a vibrant hub with over 2,500 ๐’‡๐’๐’๐’๐’๐’˜๐’†๐’“๐’” sharing memories, stories, and updates from our beloved home. Over time, the community also expanded its presence to Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp Channels, connecting even more people with the spirit of Nyondo.

One of the most cherished traditions that binds us together is the ๐˜ฝ๐™–๐™–๐™ฃ๐™– ๐˜ฝ๐™š๐™ฃ๐™œ๐™ค ๐™๐™š๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ซ๐™–๐™ก, held every year on ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”๐ญ๐ก ๐ƒ๐ž๐œ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐š๐ญ ๐๐ฒ๐จ๐ง๐๐จ ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ฒ๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ฌ. The festival is more than just an event, it is a celebration of identity, belonging, and togetherness. From morning until late in the night, the day is filled with:
