Mary’s Journey of Healing
Mary Namari’s left eye has healed well following her corneal transplant surgery. She has now undergone surgery on her right eye, which is still showing some bleeding during the recovery process.
Doctors are closely monitoring her progress and reviewing her condition every week. Mary travels to a hospital in Kampala each week for follow-up care and medical review.

Please join us in praying for Mary’s right eye, that the bleeding will stop, healing will continue, and she will have a full recovery. Pray also for wisdom and guidance for the doctors caring for her, and for strength and peace for Mary throughout this journey.

We are grateful for the progress in her left eye and trust God for continued healing in her right eye. Thank you, Lulwanda family of sponsors and friends, for standing with Mary through your prayers, love, and support.

Break Time at Lulwanda Primary School

This is what break time looks like at Lulwanda Primary School!
In the picture, our children are enjoying a delicious serving of warm sweet corn flour porridge, a simple but nourishing treat that keeps them energized and ready for the rest of the school day.

Growing Our Own Supplementing Food

Farming is one of the ways we supplement the food we purchase at Lulwanda Children’s Home. Last season, our bean harvest was not as good as we had hoped, but we are grateful for another opportunity this season.

Our garden is ready, and seed planting is already underway! We hope and pray for a better harvest this season as we continue working to grow food for the Lulwanda family.

Thank you to everyone who supports Lulwanda and helps make initiatives like this possible. Together, we are planting seeds for a healthier and more sustainable future.

Mock Examinations at Lulwanda Primary School

Our Primary Seven candidates are currently sitting for District Mock Examinations in preparation for the upcoming UNEB final exams. These exams help assess learners’ readiness and improve performance ahead of the final assessments.

We kindly request your prayers for our candidates, teachers, and staff as they work towards academic success. We wish all pupils God’s wisdom, strength, and excellent performance.

Training responsibility starts with the little things.

These two are learning valuable life skills by helping with simple home chores like washing dishes. Just look at how well they’ve scrubbed these saucepans clean! Every small task builds responsibility, confidence, teamwork, and a heart to serve.

Studio Preparations Are Underway!

The cameras are getting ready, the lights are on, and production has begun!

We are excited to begin recording content for the 2026 GICF Events, where sponsors, partners, and friends of Lulwanda Children’s Home will come together in support of a mission that is transforming lives.

These events celebrate the incredible people God has brought alongside us, men and women who have opened their hearts to love, support, and invest in the children of Lulwanda. Their generosity goes beyond giving; it fuels our mission of rescue, restoration, education, and transformation, giving vulnerable children the opportunity to grow in a safe and loving home with hope for a brighter future.

As we prepare to share this year’s stories, we invite you to continue walking this journey with us. Together, we are changing lives—one child, one story, and one act of love at a time.

Thank you to every sponsor, partner, and friend who makes this mission possible. We can’t wait to share what God is doing through Lulwanda in 2026.
