On the 24th of June 1998, when I had just made three years of full time pastoral the lord told me to become a wise needy person who could support the poorest of the poor communities in my country. At that I and my wife Agnes had just made one and half years in marriage and God had compelled living in the poorest of the poor community of Malukhu where the church I am pastoring is situated. I was jo
ined by Philemon Barasa who was a young man who had dropped out school due to lack of tuition fees. He joined me in the vision of developing needy communities with local resources and Evangelism. In 2001, we gathered together youth who had dropped of primary school due to lack of funds and yet qualified to join secondary schools. We had volunteer christian teachers who came in to help teach these young people under a tree shade. Today we have school called Green Pasture Secondary and Vocational School. And we recently saw a need in a remote area and the Lord has led us to start a school to help this vulnerable. I am the chairman board of founders as well a co founder of the Green Pasture Christian Outreach, an interdenominational organization. This is the mother of these schools. The secondary school has 180 students from poor families without any sponsorship. The new school of ages 5 to 12 is still studying under very poor conditions and we 160 pupils. All together we take care of 340 children. We need over $4000 per academic term of 3 months. The money is to be spent on food, clothing, medication, allowances and administration. Presently the 5 to 12 years do without breakfast. Most of them survive on one meal since they come from very poor families. Bishop Nelson Wesamoyo
