Uganda Hope (UGH) is a Community Based Organisation (CBO) located in Musese Nakunuku village, Busiu Sub county, Mbale district, Uganda. UGH is active in several direct support projects such as food, seed and education. Under our long term projects are education and health as our major aims. Under the food project UGH is supplying families food such as rice, posho and beans. Through the seeds proje
ct, UGH distributes seeds such as beans, maize and groundnuts to the families for planting. This is backed up with the educational programme where UGH teaches the communities how to prepare their gardens, how to plant and take care of the crop. We also teach post-harvest handling so that the families can be able to manage their harvests and have enough to sustain them till at least the next harvest. We are also active in Emergency cases such as Accidents and Sicknesses. UGH brought up a Boda Health Insurance to cover all costs of medical Treatment for Driver and Passenger after an Accident. UGH also has a specific project which is supporting a family in Kimwanga village. Uganda Hope is also active in long term projects for Education and Health. We are going to build
a Nursery and Primary School in 2016,
a Health Care Center in 2017,
a Secondary School with a Foreign Language Center in 2018 and a Vocational Center until 2020. UGH is independent from religions because our major goal is to reach out to people in need inconsiderate of their religious affiliation.
