Kitara Youth Development Foundation is an indigenous social impact not-for-profit community based non-government organisation founded in April, 2014 in mid-western Uganda by likeminded young professionals from diverse academic and cultural spheres. mid-western Uganda by likeminded young professionals from diverse academic and cultural spheres as a response to the challenges of poverty and suffering faced by the youths in the region’s rural communities. We have over the years implemented numerous projects such as skills development training; community Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) promotion; Group farming and financial services for business start-ups under the village banking and Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA) models.
