Good Samaritan School for the Deaf The school was founded to provide local deaf children with a space that is conducive to their learning and healthy development.

The Good Samaritan School for the Deaf is a Community-Based Organisation that runs a primary school for deaf children in the village of Kitengesa, in the South-East of Uganda. It strives to equip all its students with holistic primary education and vocational skills required to be independent and productive members of society. Good Samaritan’s ultimate goal is to change the negative stereotypes currently held towards deaf people and promote their equal rights through working with parents and the rest of the community.

Sometime back, some bad guys broke into our office space cutting the door locks and they took some valuables.

We are now out on a plea to fence off the school premises and install gates and later on we will deploy a security guard to check people coming in and going out. this is intended to improve security measures.

Sometime back we were graced by a visit of Education course students from Mummies Institute in Masaka who brought us study items to improve our classroom environment.

Thank you Lord 🫂

Farming classes are always conducted on Saturdays for 3 hours. All students must participate.
They learn how to grow both seasonal and long term food crops. These are life skills that stay with the student forever.
