Achiever’s Initiative is a non-profit community Based Organization working located in Ssaza Masaka, Uganda. The Founder, who doubles as the teacher at Villa Road Primary School, having realized the need for education especially to the vulnerable children most of whom had lost their parents yet others came from very poor families, felt concerned and thought of doing so
mething about the situation that was alarming. He decided that for every 10 pupils that enrolled in Villa Road Primary School, four less advantaged children would be enrolled into the Achiever’s Initiative Education Program. Out of the four vulnerable children, three must be girls, which means three girls and one boy. The four children are provided with tuition and School requirements. The beneficiaries keep on the program until they finish all the classes of the primary section in the school. He later felt concerned about the families from which the pupils come because they are also in an alarming situation. He designed a program that would send two rabbits to each of these families from which the children came and after the rabbits has given birth to a female kid, it is extended to another family after six months. The giving family will keep the mother rabbit and enjoy the benefits of the rabbit for life. Through Achiever’s Initiative Education Program, we also lobby for school fees and requirements for pupils who have been with us to continue with their post primary education. We also aim at providing our pupils with vocational skills like tailoring, carpentry, hair dressing, computer literacy etc for self-reliance. These skills are also intended for their parents or guardians who wish to have them. The health and wellbeing of our clients is a priority.
