Masaka DFA under the coffee Irrigation project have supported many of the member farmers to access Irrigation. Among these is Mr Kiyimba Julius of Kayugi Mukungwe was supported in installation of drip Irrigation in his coffee garden that is approximately four acres. Other farmers have been supporting in construction of bulky water harvesting structures that are worthy 2000liter capacity all in support of coffee Irrigation for increased production of quality coffee. The project is ongoing and other member are still benefiting under the same. Together with the Farmers SACCO (MDFA sacco) where members still get affordable Irrigation loans and other kind of loans.

At Masaka DFA we provide technical guidance to our member farmers at House holds level were we practically train the farmer directly on the farm. This is done to reduce Farmers costs of production and increase on the outputs hence increased profits. Here Farmers were equipped with good ergonomic practices of coffee.

Masaka DFA Launched a project " Irrigation as Sustainable adaptation of coffee production" where members will be trained on Good agronomic practices of coffee as well as the coffee value chain. Members will also be assisted in adopting morden and affordable Irrigation techniques of coffee. Over 10,000 agro forestry trees will also be planted. The launch was attended to by different stakeholders including the District RDC,City RCC, Local government officials, Farmer group representatives among others.
