This inception meeting organized by EFKPI is the first of a series of activities under the project entitled “Access to inclusive health care services for Key population members in Uganda”. This project focuses on an initiative by Efforts for Key Population initiative (EFKPI) in collaboration with Voice Global to provide services in Lyantonde district which enable women to overcome poverty through financial empowerment and a means of sustainable development by imparting skills through technical trainings as well as social networking with the potential to create jobs, enhancing their entrepreneurial and marketing skills and to expand their business.

Most human rights violations against s*x workers were not addressed by the different responsible authorities as in most cases the law enforcement authorities that have the mandate to give redress for such violations were prejudiced against s*x workers, while in other circumstances, the s*x workers chose not to seek redress from the law enforcement officials as they did not expect to get it.
