🎉 COTFONE Milestone Update! 🎉

We are thrilled to announce that the Community Transformation Foundation Network-COTFONE has been recognized as a Top Fan by the Global Fund for Children!

As we roll out our Refreshed Strategic Plan (2025–2029) and actively pursue a trust-based partnership through our recently submitted Expression of Interest (EOI), this recognition highlights the visibility and growing impact of our grassroots network.

From our 38 school gardens and 17 community agricultural hubs to our cross-generational microfinance pools, our youth and caregivers are leading real systems change in Greater Masaka.

Thank you to the Global Fund for Children team for noticing our community engagement, and a huge congratulations to all our 75 member organizations!

🚨 SHIFTING POWER TO THE GRASSROOTS IN UGANDA! 🚨

We are excited to announce that the Community Transformation Foundation Network-COTFONE has officially submitted our Expression of Interest to the Global Fund for Children(GFC)!

Our mission has always been deeply personal and relationship-driven. Founded in 2005 by Kayinga Muddu Yisito—who returned home to Kyanukuzi village after losing his father to HIV/AIDS—COTFONE has grown from a single children's center into a decentralized grassroots network of 75 member CBOs, schools, and local groups.

As recently featured in the Daily Monitor, our youth and women groups are leading a "Zero Waste" agricultural revolution across Lwengo and Masaka. Guided by our Refreshed Strategic Plan (2025-2029), our communities are self-managing 38 school gardens and 17 community agricultural hubs alongside our partners at the Zero Waste Foundation and building on our rich legacy with the Slow Food Movement.

Our Health Technical Advisor, Dr. Emmanuel Ssentongo (Proprietor of Betereemu Hospital), reminds us that keeping our villages free of plastic waste directly protects community health, reducing malaria breeding grounds and keeping our children healthy, safe, and in school!

We are not looking for a traditional, short-term grant. We are ready to build a long-term partnership with GFC to channel flexible support directly to our 75 village groups, ensuring children and youth lead the systemic change Greater Masaka needs.
