artist Sixte Kakinda has been set up at the Makerere University Herbarium using a microscope to make these detailed illustrations of some of the plant specimens housed there ✨

The Herbarium is part of the Makerere University Department of Plant Science, Microbiology and Biotechnology and holds just under 100,000 specimens of plants from Uganda 🌱

The illustrations will feature on the indigenous plants repository created by Future Generations Foundation supported by Newcastle University

The platform will launch as part of Mufoka: Where Art Meets Plants, an afternoon highlighting the connections between the two 💫 You will also be able to purchase prints of these delicate drawings in limited edition! to reserve your spot for the event
