HOPE AND EDUCATION FOR THE VULNERABLE (HEV) is a registered indigenous / local Non Governmental Organization, which is community based destined to improve livelihood of vulnerable children in Busoga with its Headquarters in Iganga District Uganda (East Africa). Hope & Education For The Vulnerable arose from the need to establish an organization or institution for the purpose of Education to school drop outs, Economic emancipation of the rural poor, and Self-sustenance of the community through developmental and educational projects. The organization aspires to have a united front or voice for the purposes of development of the welfare of the socially marginalized people especially in educational and economic sectors of the community. OBJECTIVES (a) To provide adequate support for sustainable academic knowledge and the use of intermediate technology to harness the values of nature towards total emancipation of both the vulnerable and the disadvantaged folks from redundancy, ignorance, poverty, and or other forms of social contagion (b) To assist children from poor communities who can’t afford universal primary education (U.PE) program and are left hanging between the precincts of the educated and the un- educated with no applicable solution to access further education. (c) The Vulnerable and disadvantaged to access University Education as by virtue of their social and economic background cannot afford private sponsorship at the universities and seek ways and means of improving their welfare and formal education at large by initiating and pooling resources for money-generating projects, effective training program and to generally foster the development and maximum use of the individual talent in social development. (d) To identify the talented and the genius among the school going children of the poor and sponsor them for higher education or foster the development of their talents, as well as being exemplary locally and internationally in the ex*****on of this noble cause of helping the disadvantaged in society.. (e) To fight child abuse and support sister organizations in pursuit of this cause as well mobilise and organise all people with the spirit of helping the disadvantaged into one “contact center” where they can be helped and counseled. Vision Inspired by God’s love for humanity stands out to challenge and respond to causes and consequences of disease, poverty and ignorance with a commitment to mobilize communities to solve their own problems and live with dignity.
