Why Are We So Passionate About Children Having Access to Sport? 💙

Because sport can give so much more than just a game. ⚽

It creates friendships, builds confidence, and gives young people a place to feel part of something.
Through sport, children learn how to work together, support one another, communicate and grow - skills that stay with them far beyond the pitch. 🤝

Taking part in sport can also have a huge impact on confidence and self-belief. Learning something new, overcoming challenges, reaching goals, and being encouraged by teammates and coaches all help young people realise what they’re capable of. 🙌

And it’s not just physical - sport supports mental, social, and emotional wellbeing too.

We want every child and young person to have the chance to experience the joy of the sport they love - whatever barriers may be in front of them. 💙

Everyday reminds us of our shared responsibility to protect every child.

As we reflect on the heartbreaking news of the law to break businesses near the road not only in Lugazi but the all Uganda, we are reminded that no child should ever grow up surrounded by fear. Every child deserves safety, love, education, and the freedom to dream without danger.

Protecting children is a responsibility that belongs to all of us. In our homes, schools, communities, and across our nation, we must become people who listen, nurture, and protect. Because when a child is protected, a future is preserved.

♟️ Strategic Minds in Play ♟️

Today 23rd May 2026, we gathered for the SOL Chess Tournament 2026 – a competition filled with focus and strategy. Across multiple intense rounds, colleagues challenged each other on the chessboard, demonstrating patience, sharp thinking, and great sportsmanship.

With participants of all ages joining the tournament – including our youngest player at just 9 years old – the atmosphere was both engaging and highly enjoyable. Each match brought exciting moments, unexpected turns, and a strong sense of team spirit.

A huge congratulations to all participants for their enthusiasm, energy, and spirit throughout the tournament. A special congratulations to the winner BUKENYA NICOLAS for his outstanding performance and well-deserved victory 🏆.

We wish all players many more victories – both at the chessboard and beyond – and look forward to future tournaments!
