This program is designed as a ground breaking innovation that uses resourceful E-Learning centers established in rural parts of northern Uganda to:
Provide digital literacy training with a unique focus on the girl child digital literacy in areas which includes introduction to computing, programming, web design and development, blogging, leveraging social media for advocacy, entrepreneurship and
career coaching to address the unemployment problem among the marginalized rural youth of northern Uganda. Facilitate access to massive open online courses to democratize access to quality education which is often completely out of the reach of the marginalized rural youth. Democratize access and create awareness about emerging technologies and innovations such as virtual reality, augmented reality and artificial intelligence with the aim of ensuring that the marginalized rural youth of northern Uganda who are unacceptably lagging behind are fully equipped to be competitive in this fastly unfolding digital era. Enhance access to information and resources pertaining to scholarships, mentorships, apprenticeships, and internships. Ultimately, the program seeks to leverage the human centered innovation of E-Learning Centers established in rural areas of northern Uganda to technologically equip the marginalized rural youth with tools that enable them to not only get jobs but also create new jobs and to better participate in transforming their societies and become active advocates for their civic rights.
