🙏🏿 TODAY IS AKELLO HELLEN'S SURGERY DAY 🙏🏿
Today is a very important day for our little Akello Hellen. After undergoing the necessary medical examinations and being confirmed fit for surgery, she is now ready for her scheduled eye procedure.
Early this morning, Akello was given a hot cup of tea as instructed by the doctors, without eating anything, as she prepares for the surgery.
We continue to pray for God's protection over Akello, the doctors, and everyone caring for her. 🙏🏿❤️
Please keep this precious little girl in your prayers today. We are also humbly asking friends and well-wishers to stand with us through any financial contribution toward her surgery, hospital care, medications, and other related expenses.

Every day is a challenge for Akello, but she continues to fight with courage and a beautiful spirit.
Today, we humbly ask for your support. Akello urgently needs special body creams and ointments, bathing salt, body boosters, nutritious food, medications, and other medical supplies to help manage her condition and improve her quality of life.

Fundraiser for Akello Hellen's Eye Surgery
Meet Akello Hellen
Akello Hellen is a beautiful 2-year-8-month-old girl from Kumi District, Uganda, and the sixth child in her family. She is living with Harlequin ichthyosis, a rare genetic skin disorder that requires lifelong medical care and daily management.
Despite the many challenges she has faced, Hellen is a cheerful and courageous little girl who continues to smile through pain.
Sadly, Hellen has already lost vision in one eye. After examinations by an Oculoplastic Eye Specialist, doctors advised that she urgently needs eye surgery to help save her remaining eye. Without timely surgery, she is at risk of losing her remaining vision.
When we first met Hellen, The Brother's Hand Ministry Uganda took her to a skin specialist in Wandegeya, where her parents received guidance on how to care for and manage her condition. Since then, we have continued to walk alongside her family, helping them access specialized medical care.
As part of preparing for surgery, Hellen underwent Cardiac Echo and ECG tests at the Mulago Heart Institute, and we are grateful that doctors confirmed she is fit for surgery.
Her surgery is now scheduled, but her family cannot afford the hospital costs, medications, transportation, and follow-up care.
We are humbly asking compassionate friends, supporters, and well-wishers to help give Hellen the chance to keep her remaining sight.
No donation is too small. Every contribution brings hope and helps protect this precious little girl's future.

Nutrition Support for Akello Hellen ❤️🙏
As Akello Hellen prepares for her eye surgery, proper nutrition is very important for her healing, strength, and recovery. Living with Harlequin ichthyosis means her body needs extra care, hydration, and nourishing foods to help her stay healthy.
Her family is doing their best, but they continue to struggle with providing the nutritious meals she needs during this critical time.
We humbly ask kind hearts to support Akello with nutrition support such as food, milk, fruits, porridge, and other healthy supplies that can help her regain strength as she prepares for surgery.
Every meal shared is a step toward hope and healing for this precious little girl. ❤️

Hellen has already lost vision in one eye, and doctors have advised that **urgent surgery is needed to help protect her remaining eye**. Time is critical, and without the necessary treatment, she is at risk of losing her remaining sight.

A step closer to hope for Akello Hellen ❤️🙏
Today, Akello Hellen was seen by an Oculoplastic doctor for a check-up and evaluation of her eye condition. We are thankful for the medical team giving their care and attention as we continue this journey with her.
Hellen, only 2 years and 8 months old, is bravely living with Harlequin ichthyosis and has already faced many challenges. The doctor has advised that she needs timely treatment/surgery to help protect her remaining eye. If the surgery is delayed, there is a risk of losing her remaining vision.
We humbly appeal to kind hearts, friends, and well-wishers to stand with Akello and her family through contributions towards her surgery and medical care.

The young boy lives with developmental and communication difficulties and needs medical evaluation and support. His mother is doing everything she can, but the journey has been very difficult, and they need our help.

Augustine is a young boy full of life and innocence, but he is facing a painful challenge—he cannot walk on his own. Every movement is a struggle, and without support, even the simplest things become difficult for him.
As you can see, he needs a wheelchair to give him mobility, dignity, and a chance to experience life like other children.
At The Brother’s Hand Ministry Uganda, we believe that every child deserves a father’s embrace—love, care, and the opportunity to live with hope.

This father is doing all he can to care for his children, but life has become a heavy burden. 💔
