Enabling Rural Opportunity Network - ERONet

Enabling Rural Opportunity Network - ERONet ERONet is an Indigenous women-centered CBO working since 2014 in rural and post conflict setting

Fragility, conflict, and violence (FCV) present a critical development challenge that threatens efforts to end extreme poverty in both low- and middle-income countries. It is estimated that by 2024, the total number of extreme poor in FCV-affected settings may surpass that in non-FCV settings

For over 10 years, ERONet have had of strong presence in rural and post conflict settings working with wi

dows, abductees, adolescent girls & young mothers, orphans and people living with disability

Our mission is to alleviate suffering and create opportunities for sustainable development in rural and post-conflict settings, through multi-dimensional programs and services to reduce disadvantage amongst vulnerable and at-risk women and girls, and people living with disability

Ultimately, we envisions an equitable and inclusive world in which vulnerable and at-risk women and girls, and people living with disability achieve their full potential, living a life of dignity and self-reliance in harmony with the environment

🚲✨ READY TO RIDE, READY TO LEARN! βœ¨πŸ“š

As we count down to the official launch of the Buffalo Bicycle Project this Friday, ERONet's Managing Director, Board Chairperson, and a student beneficiary took the bicycles for a test ride to confirm they are safe, reliable, and ready for the journey ahead. πŸš΄β€β™€οΈβœ…

The bicycles will support students under the Agoro Child Sponsorship Program by helping them travel to and from school more safely, more quickly, and with greater confidence. πŸŽ’πŸ«πŸ’‘

Today's successful test ride marks another important step toward improving access to education for rural girls and reducing barriers caused by long distances to school. πŸŒπŸ‘§πŸ“–

πŸŽ‰ The bicycles are assembled.
πŸ”§ The quality has been checked.
🚲 The riders have tested them.
βœ… Everything is ready for launch!

We look forward to officially handing over the bicycles and seeing them transform the educational journey of our students. πŸ’™πŸ“šπŸš΄β€β™€οΈ

🌍✨ This work is deeply personal to me. ✨🌍

🏑 I come from the very communities I now serve through .

🀝 Today, sitting together with beneficiaries, listening, sharing ideas, and working toward solutions reminds me that this is more than a job, it is a commitment to give back to the community that once raised me.

πŸ’ I may not have all the resources needed to run an organization at the scale I dream of, but I have learned that impact does not always begin with abundance.

πŸ”₯ Sometimes, it begins with passion, commitment, and the willingness to use whatever is available to make a difference.

🌱 Seeing how small efforts can create meaningful change in people’s lives continues to inspire me.

πŸ‘₯ Every meeting,
πŸ—£οΈ Every conversation,
πŸšΆπŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ Every step forward,

…reminds me why this work matters.

πŸ’š At , we remain committed to standing with our communitiesβ€”especially πŸ‘§ girls, πŸ‘© women, and vulnerable households, while building 🌟 hope, opportunity, and resilience together.

🚧 The journey is not easy, but the impact makes it worthwhile.

πŸ™ Thank you to everyone who believes in community-led change and continues to walk this journey with us.

🚲✨ This week, successfully completed the training of local bicycle mechanics ahead of the upcoming Buffalo Bicycle Project launch under the Agoro Girls Pilot Project.

πŸ‘§πŸΎπŸ“š In many rural communities of Lamwo District, girls walk long distances to school every day, affecting attendance, safety, and academic performance. Through this initiative, ERONet is working to remove transportation barriers so that vulnerable girls can stay in school and build a better future.

πŸ”§πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ Before bicycle distribution, trained mechanics are essential to keep the bicycles repaired, safe, and always in use. This training is an important step toward building a sustainable community support system for girls’ education.

🀝 This project is implemented in partnership with World Bicycle Relief and Buffalo Bicycle.

πŸ’™ At ERONet, we believe that when girls can reach school safely and consistently, communities become stronger and futures become brighter.

πŸ™ We thank all partners, supporters, community leaders, and volunteers who continue to support our mission as we prepare for the official project launch.

At Enabling Rural Opportunity Network - ERONet, we believe every girl deserves the opportunity to learn and succeed.

As part of the Agoro Girls Education Sponsorship Pilot Project, we supported sponsored girls with scholastic materials as they prepare to begin Term II.

For many rural families, even basic scholastic materials can be difficult to afford. Through this support, together with mentorship and family engagement, we are helping girls stay focused on their education and future.

Education changes livesβ€”and it starts with making sure girls are ready to learn.

Thank you to everyone walking this journey with us.

🌍 TODAY SHE FACES CHALLENGES.
✨ TOMORROW SHE CAN LEAD CHANGE.

πŸ‘§πŸΎ MEET PROSSY

Prossy Aketowanga is a bright and determined girl from Agoro Centre. She dreams of becoming a journalist and using her voice to tell stories that inspire change. πŸŽ€πŸ“š

But life has not been easy for Prossy.

πŸ’” Her father, a police officer, abandoned the family because her mother gave birth to mostly girls.

πŸ‘©πŸΎβ€πŸŒΎ Left to raise 8 children alone (5 girls and 3 boys), Prossy’s mother now struggles as a subsistence farmer, growing cabbages in the irrigation scheme and crops like sorghum, beans, maize, and peas on Lututuru hill.

🌱 Despite the hardship, her mother never gave up on her children’s future.

However, she did not have the means to send Prossy to secondary school.

🌟 Everything changed when she heard about ERONet’s Child Sponsorship Program.

She decided to try.

πŸ™πŸΎ Today, Prossy is one of the children supported through the ERONet sponsorship program.

πŸ’ PROSSY’S DREAM
πŸ—£οΈ β€œI want to become a journalist and make my family proud.”
β€” Prossy

πŸ’ HER MOTHER’S DREAM
βš–οΈ β€œI want Prossy to become a lawyer and have a better future.”

❀️ Every child deserves a chance to dream.
πŸ“– Every girl deserves a chance to learn.
🌍 Every sponsorship changes a life.

Together, we can help girls like Prossy move from surviving today to leading tomorrow.
