Today on the 21st July, 13 years since the passing of Mama Irene, we pause to reflect on her incredible life dedicated to serving the children and community in northern Uganda.

If you are in Uganda, join us this Saturday 25th July in Kitgum for the annual charity walk and memorial service. As we continue her legacy and make lasting impacts in the lives of thousands of children across northern Uganda.

A child shouldn't have to think twice about something as basic as clean drinking water. That's why this work matters.

We continue to provide access to clean drinking water in each of our schools and into the wider community. Improving health, minimising the risk of water-borne diseases, and reducing the time spent walking to fetch water from faraway boreholes.

20 year old Innocent finished primary 7 and joined our technical institute immediately after. Choosing to learn welding and metal fabrication has given Innocent many skills. He has even started using these skills to earn a small income.
"I can't sit at home doing nothing when you can learn such skills" - Innocent.

As we approach the end of the financial year, we're reflecting on a year that has brought both challenges and opportunities.

Like many charities, we have experienced significant change. Yet the need for our services has not diminished. Every day, we continue working to support the children and youth who rely on us for education, feeding, medical care and clean water, and we remain committed to making a difference in our communities in northern Uganda.

The truth is that we cannot do this alone.

As June 30 approaches, we're asking for your support. A tax-deductible donation, no matter the size, will help us continue delivering vital programs and services in the year ahead.

To everyone who has supported us throughout the year—whether through donating, volunteering, fundraising, or sharing our message—thank you!

Donations can be made through our partner, Global Development Group , at https://globaldevelopmentgroup.org/Projects/Details?id=33

The resident children were blessed with new shoes and clothes last week, thanks to Australian volunteer and supporter Gabby.

It was such a treat for them to receive the new items, sent all the way from Australia by mail.

We are grateful for each of you who continue to support our projects, as we work to transform the lives of the 5000 children and youth who benefit from our projects.

Teachers from across IGF's 5 nursery schools came together this week for training, planning and discussions. Under the guidance of Head Mistress Winnie, the teachers were able to share their ideas and learn from each other.

We look forward to seeing how their plans and activities transfer into their classrooms, and influence the learning experience of the young children.
