VISIT AND VOLUNTEER IN UGANDA
Visit Uganda and volunteer your skills with Friends of Peace and Hope Foundation.
offers an exceptional experience at grass roots level in rural Kisoro District, Uganda
FPHF is supported by a network of volunteers that visit the projects and provide
help and support. Volunteering is a great experience which makes a positive impact on the lives of all parties involved.
Each and every Volunteer is special to Friends of Peace international -FPI and helps keep the charity moving forward, we need your help now!
Our Volunteer Projects Include:
Child Development Work: We aim to enhance the physical, social and emotional
development of children in Uganda. Volunteers can get involved at a local daycare center,
supporting children between 3 to 10 years.
Sports & Recreation: The program collaborates with local communities to promote healthy
lifestyles amongst local children/youth through teaching basic skills and tactics of football (soccer).
Education & Teaching: The program focuses on English language classes in primary and
secondary/high school students.
Clean Water Construction: Volunteers who indicate their desire to work in construction, they can join us on our clean water construction projects.
FPH works closely with each volunteer to ensure comprehensive preparation,
including both an understanding of the people with whom you will be working, and all
considerations necessary for travel overseas.

we will assist you in planning a meaningful and fulfilling journey.
More Information about the project:
• Program Length: From 2 week to 3 months
• Program Date: Flexible Start & End Date
• Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5-8 hour per day
• Accommodation: provided
• Meals Plan: Bed & Breakfast
• Age requirement: 18 years and above
Program Costs: FREE (Volunteering is FREE)
Placement Confirmation Donation: To confirm your placement and participation, the
volunteer has to make a USD$ 300 donation towards the Projects General Fund.
Volunteer also covers:
• Airport transfers (USD$ 50 one way)
• Lunch & Dinner
• Flights
• Visas
• Insurance
• Personal Expenses
Schedule: Volunteers work Monday through Friday. Every weekday morning, breakfast is
served from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM, and at 9:00 AM on Saturday.
The workday generally finishes around 4pm.
Free volunteering is a wonderful way to see the world, live abroad in Uganda.

Their Journey is Tough. Your Help Makes it Easier

Imagine walking miles under the hot sun or through muddy routes or bushy paths just to get to school. For countless orphans and vulnerable children in Kisoro District, this is their daily reality. These brave young learners face long, exhausting journeys, often without proper shoes, food, or safety, all for a chance at education. Their determination inspires us, but they need our help to make their paths easier.

At Friends of Peace international -FPI , we are committed to supporting these children, but we cannot do it alone. We are calling upon YOU to volunteer and support these children. You can support by donating shoes, pens, backpacks, books and other school supplies, or mentoring, your time and heart can change lives.

The current initiative undertaken by FPI through a sponsorship program for the neediest children at the school.

Current there is 150 orphans and children with only one parent, and many more with both parents but extremely limited means to survive. The orphans at FPI live with foster parents or extended family members who cannot provide them with all the things that they require even basic necessities like food and water.

Our first goal is to find a sponsor for each of the neediest children.. We are presently looking for sponsors for 150 children, all of which are in desperate need of basic needs like food, water and education.

The cost to sponsor a child is $ 30 per month. This money will pay for the child's school fees as well as providing them with books, school supplies, uniforms and shoes. In addition, the money will allow FPI to more freely provide food and water to some families, as resources have always been limited for the feeding program.

A portion of the fee will go towards the feeding program, as opposed to the individual child.

This is because the money can be more efficiently used in buying bulk foods and everyone will benefit equally.
