Kisoro Community Volunteers Association was founded in 2001 and . DGCS/441 as NGO/CBO with the directorate of community based services in Kisoro District UGANDA. As a host organization for volunteers for our local communities, it liaises and links international volunteer organizations, volunteers, universities, schools, hospitals, academic institutions and other non-academic institutions in kiso

ro District. The volunteers in turn provide capacity building and skills development to various professionals in our local communities. This uplifts the quality of the services offered to the people and the District. And also helps to enhance development through increased opportunities / contacts with the international world. The association has an office in Kisoro town which is run by a director and a coordinator. The office organizes service programs and identifies programs for volunteers

The project's results have shown that with the right support Vulnerable rural women can improve their income,food security, children Education and Empowerment

Selling their harvested potatoes in kisoro market has not just put money in Agaba and Irakunda Aisha's hands,it has paid school fees for their children, good health and in a home where "tomorrow" is not a scary world anymore.

Meet MUHOZA, 16 year old girl from kisoro, Uganda.who has always been passionate about potato farming alongside her mother.

When her mother fell ill and became bedridden, MUHOZA took over the potato farming project.

With her determination she worked tirelessly to ensure the potato farming flourish. With the income from the potato farming, she now pays medical bills for her mother ,feeds her siblings and also saves on school fees

MOHOZA'S resilience and dedication proves that even in adversity, young people can make a difference with challenges

With every hersvest, MUHOZA felt her mothers pride and presence, knowing she was carrying on her legacy and the support from CARE ACROSS COMMUNITIES
