Hello everyone,

There’s power in one voice. When we embarked on our journey to be the voice for so many families and patients affected by Duchene Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) in Uganda, we didn’t foresee the emotional and financial toll it would take on us. Nor did we anticipate the positive response from key players in the DMD community.

Last month, we had the privilege of collaborating with to organize the first-ever Duchene Muscular Insight Conference in Uganda, and possibly Africa. This milestone marks the beginning of continued partnerships and medical interventions, not only from the medical fraternity but from everyone who believes that all children deserve the healthcare they need.

September 7: World Duchenne Awareness Day!

We were honored to be invited by the Corsu Rehabilitation Centre for the opening of Uganda's first DMD clinic. During this event, 9 patients were diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). It was a deeply emotional experience sharing this difficult news with parents. However, our words of comfort and shared experiences provided much-needed reassurance. With continued partnerships, there is hope for a brighter future.
