🎬 Exciting Collaboration Alert!
Earlier yesterday, we were honored to host Wakaliwood (Ramon Film Productions) at the
Youth Inclusion and Empowerment Network - YIEN Empowerment Centre for a courtesy visit and partnership discussion.
Founded by Nabwana Isaac Godfrey, Wakaliwood has put Kampala on the global map through iconic films like Ejjini lwe’ntwetwe,
Who Killed Captain Alex and over 80 other productions.
In collaboration with Bayimba Cultural Foundation, Wakaliwood is rolling out a powerful project to train young girls and women in filmmaking across several districts—including Kayunga.
Through this partnership, YIEN will mobilize 200 young women (18–35 years), including:
1. Young women with disabilities
2. Refugees & internally displaced persons
3. Girls from marginalized communities
🎥 The program will offer FREE three-week hands-on training in film production, opening doors to storytelling, creativity, and economic empowerment.
We are excited about this opportunity to amplify voices, build skills, and create pathways for young women in the creative industry.
Together, we are shaping a more inclusive and empowered future through film.
