This is what OBI found when they arrived in this community.

Young people sitting in silence. Girls with the weight of the world on their faces. Young men who had never been given a space to talk.

A whole community carrying things nobody had ever asked them about.

So OBI sat down with all of them. No fancy office. No formal setting. Just real conversations in the middle of the community.

By the end of the session something had shifted. Not fixed but lighter.

That's Project Kyogere.

Mental health support for youth aged 15-25 who never had access to it before.

Share this if you believe every young person deserves that.

Some problems can't be ignored anymore.

OBI volunteers showed up at a community dealing with blocked drains that had built up over time.

The smell was heavy. The waste was everywhere. But nobody left.

Because blocked drains carry disease, flood homes and put whole families at risk.

By the end of the day, drainage flow had been restored in key sections of the area. One community is breathing a little easier.

This is OBI on the ground.

When an outbreak hits, we talk about the virus. We count the cases. We share the precautions.

But nobody asks how are you doing mentally?

The anxiety of not knowing. The grief of losing someone. The silence around survivors because people are afraid. The health workers carrying everyone else's fear while dealing with their own.

That weight is real. And it deserves to be talked about.
OBI sees you. If you're struggling right now, you don't have to carry it quietly. 💜

These young people showed up ready to learn. And honestly, that's where change begins.

Our E-Ghetto program teaches youth practical digital skills from basic computer knowledge to coding and tech training. Skills that build confidence open doors and can completely shift the direction of someone's life.

This is exactly why we do what we do.

These photos were taken right in the community. No fancy offices or big stages, just our team sitting with people, listening, and having honest conversations about mental health.

Sometimes being a hero looks like simply showing up for someone when they need it most.

If you or someone you know needs support, reach out. You are not alone. 💜

Climate change doesn’t just affect infrastructure it affects people too. The stress, the fear the uncertainty… it’s real.

You don’t have to carry that alone. Kyogere is here to create space for those conversations. 💜

“You’re just seeking attention.”
“Young people don’t have real problems.”

We’ve all heard it. And honestly, it needs to stop.

Mental health is not a phase. It’s not a weakness.
It’s real and it deserves real support.

Let’s change the conversation. 💜

It's Mental Health Awareness Month, and at OBI, we believe everyone deserves to be heard and supported. No one should have to face it alone. This May, we're showing up for our communities with conversations that actually matter. Stay with us.

She deserves to be in that classroom. Period poverty keeps too many girls home when they should be learning. Through our Flow with Dignity project, we provide sanitary pads, dignity packs, and psychosocial support to girls in vulnerable communities. Because a girl who feels dignified learns differently. She belongs there and we're making sure she knows it.
