Yesterday, the 19th President of Rotary Club of Wobulenzi, Rtn Geoffrey Muhanuzi, was officially installed during a colourful and well-attended ceremony held at Hotel Passions.

‎The installation ceremony was presided over by PAG Eric Byenkya, with the support of AG Accram Nsubuga, making the occasion both memorable and inspiring.

‎At the event, Mary Kayimba, an educationist, was inducted into the Rotary family as the newest member of the Rotary Club of Wobulenzi. We warmly welcome her and look forward to her valuable contribution to Rotary's mission of Service

‎During the installation ceremony, President Geoffrey Muhanuzi highlighted several major projects that will define the club's Year of Impact. These include the implementation of an $87,000 Global Grant at Ssayi Village in Gombe Division, a road safety project along the Kampala–Gulu Highway aimed at reducing road accidents, and several other impactful community initiatives.

‎ These projects underscore the club's commitment to creating sustainable change and delivering meaningful service to the communities it serves.

‎We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Rotarians who joined us from RC Kasangati, RC Bweyogerere Namboole, RC Gayaza, RC Kampala Life Stars, RC Matugga, RC Kasana Luwero, and RC Sonde. Your presence added great value to the celebration and demonstrated the spirit of Rotary fellowship.

‎We also sincerely thank the Interactors from MULUSA Academy and Original Progressive Secondary School Kasana, as well as the Rotaractors from Kampala University Luwero and Nakawa MUBS, for gracing the event with their enthusiastic participation.

‎Together, we celebrated not only a leadership transition but also Rotary's enduring commitment to service above self. We wish President Geoffrey Muhanuzi a successful and impactful year of service as he leads the Rotary Club of Wobulenzi to even greater achievements.

‎We also extend our sincere appreciation to Rt. Dr. James Kyeyune and the outgoing AG Moses Ssebagala for their outstanding leadership, guidance, and unwavering support throughout the Rotary year. Their dedication has been instrumental in the club's growth and success.

‎Although they have concluded their official responsibilities, they remain invaluable mentors whose wisdom, experience, and commitment will continue to inspire and guide the club in the years ahead.

The Baton of Service

‎As another Rotary year draws to a close, we gather to witness one of Rotary's most cherished traditions—the transition of leadership. Today, we celebrate the installation of the 19th President of the Rotary Club of Wobulenzi, Geoffrey Muhanuzi.

‎In Rotary, leadership is never about authority or status. It is about service, inspiring others, strengthening communities, and faithfully carrying forward the legacy of those who have served before us.

‎Today, our outgoing President, Dr. Kyeyune, passes the baton of leadership. While his presidential term comes to an end, his service does not. He remains a valued mentor and trusted guide, reminding us that in Rotary, leadership never truly ends—it simply evolves into mentorship and continued service.

‎This annual transition reminds every Rotarian that the strength of Rotary does not rest in one individual, but in the collective commitment, fellowship, and dedication of its members. Fresh ideas are embraced while enduring values are preserved, ensuring that every new chapter builds upon the achievements of the past.

‎The change of leadership is, therefore, far more than the passing of the Presidential chain. It is the passing of hope, responsibility, and trust. It is a renewed commitment to Rotary's ideal of Service Above Self and a promise to continue making a lasting, positive difference in our communities and throughout the world.

‎As we witness this symbolic handover, let us celebrate not only a new President, but also the enduring spirit of Rotary—a spirit that continues to unite us in service, fellowship, and the shared vision of creating hope and transforming lives.

‎Join us today at Hotel Passions, Wobulenzi, from 2:00 p.m. as we usher in a new era of service, leadership, and fellowship . We look forward to welcome you

‎PP Brian LUWAGA ( PHF)

‎Incoming Club Administrator
