Kassanda Children's AID KCA is a Non-Profit, Non-Political, Faith Based organization looking after vulnerable children, orphans, elderly and welfare of many touched by HIV/AIDS.

Its purpose is to provide homeless, orphaned and vulnerable children with food, clothing, medical care, school supplies and housing. KCA operates in Kassanda sub-county. It was also registered by the

National Non-Governmental Organization Board in 2014. The organization aims at reaching the community with HIV prevention services and other services to mitigate the effects of HIV and also helping the interest groups in the community to realize their full potential and respond to their spiritual, social and economic needs. KCA’s Mission is to develop a society that upholds the rights of children, enables them to realize their potential, and nurtures them into responsible citizens. KCA’s Vision is to create a healthy, spiritual and productive society for a brighter future. KCA’s principal value is, Imitating the Good Samaritan; seeing suffering and responding with Compassion. This principal value is enhanced by the all important values of Integrity, Accountability and Responsibility in order to promote quality and sustainable health for all. KCA has a strong and competent team of 4 staff Volunteers, 157 community volunteers and 31 Village Health Team members operating in all the above mentioned sub-counties in the regions of operation, with a wide range of experiences in prevention. The staff volunteers work closely with the government health centre staff to provide home-based management of ART through follow-up, care and support at the household level, PMTCT counseling. As a local CBO KCA is committed to working with the district local Governments, National and International Agencies and the local community structures in the fight against HIV/AIDs which led to Orphans and vulnerable children.

Our Pigs for Prosperity Project in Kassanda, Uganda is still open for support! 🇺🇬

We’re so excited to share that two pigs recently gave birth to 20 healthy piglets! 🐷This means even more opportunities to help vulnerable families through the Pass-on Piglet Program.

But there are still families waiting for their chance. ⏱️

Your support can help provide piglets, feed, better shelters, and sustainable water solutions—helping families build a more secure future for themselves and their children.

Because of the generosity of Lumen Charitable donations in December, Kassandra Children’s Aid is able to purchase cement and paint to improve our school buildings, creating safer, brighter, and more welcoming learning spaces for our children.

These improvements go beyond walls and classrooms — they represent hope, dignity, and a stronger foundation for education in our community. We are deeply grateful for partners who invest not just in infrastructure, but in the future of our children. 💙
