This project was Inspired by our teacher who motivated us to serve humanity to the best of our capabilities.we realize that our responsibilities as Muslims are immense and we have to step up to fulfill the needs of our fellow citizens.We can't wait for others.It has to be us,and it has to be now! The messenger of Allah (PBUH) was once asked; which of the people are most beloved to Allah and which deeds are most beloved to him?; To whom he replied, "The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to mankind.The most beloved deed to our lord is to make a believer happy or to remove one of his/her troubles or feed his/her hunger..." We draw our inspiration from the following story: a person went to a learned man and said to him "I am an old man I cannot do too much;teach me something that will make me closer to Allah;something very small but big in reward". The old man was baffled; he said, "I came to you expecting a certain amount of worship and you are telling me to make some one smile? What benefit will that have?" The learned man replied: "If you make a person smile, then the Almighty Allah will smile upon you, and if Allah smiles upon you, He will forbid Hell-fire to touch you." 1. BACKGROUND
The Organisation is founded officially started by some few concerned Muslim brothers
and sisters on 5th-08-2017.with a primary role of supporting orphans and vulnerable
children and rural communities at large attain a better life. It's an organization of
charity minded people united by a noble cause to fulfill regardless of their status, race,
gender and ethnicity.

Al-Azhar Charitable Organization is a Ugandan Based registered charity reg no:80020003088821,It was established with a major aim of improving lives of the vulnerable and promote better livelihoods to the Needy communities of Uganda and beyond.

6. WHERE WE WORK
We work in the local communities of Uganda and great East Africa as a whole to bring relief to its poor and empower them to become self-sufficient. Al-Azhar Team has created an extensive database of deserving families after carrying out a broad survey with the help of local community members and leaders. Most of our projects cater to the needs of widows, orphans and elderly people, who are the most vulnerable members of our communities.
