Moments like this will be missed greatly. It seems like wherever I am in Uganda somebody is calling my name because they have a connection to Rising Star. Yesterday I was visiting another organization and a young man doing construction started calling me. This was the boy in 2010 reading at Rising Star.

"Heri ya Krismasi" means Merry Christmas in Swahili. Christmas in Uganda is a day spent mostly at church, with a shared meal and not much for a gift exchange. And not much for snow. 😉 We hope you and your family have a great Christmas season full of blessings!

TRUE OR FALSE? It rains a lot in Uganda.
Believe it or not, this one is true! There is heavy rainfall in what would be the Spring and Fall months in the United States. This makes road travel difficult - not to mention the muddy mess.

We know that children learn better when they feel safe and cared for, so we’re trying to make the school safer with pavers, which will go a long way to help with the mud! Check out this video of the campus at our partner school. With your help, we can improve safety conditions at the school. Just $7,500 will help us finish the paver project.
