Young Empowerment Initiative (YEI) is a CBO set up in 2011 by a group of vibrant Youth who saw the effects of Poverty and ignorance among people amidst lots of hardship and struggle with the young people in society and desired individual work to achieve a given development plan to move generations. We accepted the hard fact that office/desk employment is not just hard to get but has less guarantee
of achieving set goals and in time and therefore resorting to agriculture in a verge to curb issues with the different sectors, since it is a broad initiative with sectors that include agriculture, education, health and wellbeing, gender equality, women emancipation and child abuse. YEI is aimed at uniting the young people in the struggle to stability in finance, health, education, gender. Among us are university graduates, unemployed hardworking youth who would like to bring out their practical potential in agriculture, guidance and counseling, public administration, sociology, psychology, accounting and banking. YEI is made up of competent members who have participated in several projects that include; women emancipation campaigns, anti HIV/AID’s discrimination and stigma and strongly in agricultural activities. We are willing to take risks, involve ourselves in hard labor, dedicate time to make a difference because YEI’s aim is to benefit the society economically, education wise, health and to personal points. We are willing to do the best of all we have to and have involved expertise in sectors that we are not so well versed with as we keep learning and getting more experience form Experts through studying and even attending Seminars in regard to Agriculture.
