Founded by Moses Arineitwe in 2015, the Pangolin Rescue Center is located on the outskirts of Buhoma village, very close to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. Our aim is to rescue, rehabilitate and release pangolins back to the wild. Pangolins are the most illegally trafficked mammals in the world, hunted across Africa for their meat and scales. Through education and offering alternative

s to poaching, such as sustainable fishing and vegetable growing, we work with communities in Uganda to help secure a future for pangolins in the wild. Over the years, Moses and his team have successfully rescued over 150 pangolins and reformed over 70 poachers. Moses also teaches in local schools about the importance of pangolins and the need to protect them.

Do you love pangolins ?
We just rescued another pangolin from hands of poachers .
Happy the pangolin girl was in the field spreading awareness today after this successful rescue .

Now that most people think there's ebola everywhere here , very few tourists are coming in hence no donations coming in and we have to continue with work .
We are therefore asking for donations for our pangolin rescue center operations as fuel , food , stationary, medical , gardening equipment and seeds and pangolin care costs .
Looking for $ $1000 but any little means a lot to us .

Saturday 21st is world pangolin day .
With my team in the meeting today we decided that we spread awareness in new villages and towns where we know pangolins occur and are at risk .

The demand for pangolins have increased than before here .
We will be able to do this if individual and organizations wanting to save pangolins give us a hand .
