Community Development Organization for People with Disabilities-UGANDA Vision: To restore hope and bind the broken hearts of people living with disabilities.

The Community Development Organization is a non-governmental organization founded in 2012 by Pastor Walugogo Moses in the Kamuli district of Uganda. Together; the youth, parents of children with disabilities, and the disabled elderly, helped establish this organization. Our vision is to restore hope and bind the broken hearts of people living with disabilities, while focusing on our mission to re

gister prosperity and sensitize PWD's in their economic development. The CDO-PWD's are also committed to providing community service to address key issues in the community. This work includes School Outreach, HIV/AIDS testing & counseling, Sanitation & Hygiene projects, and Mobility support for the disabled. By providing these services to the community, we hope to support disabled and vulnerable youth in their education, encourage the youth to take a stand against the spread of HIV/AIDS, and improve on the cases of jigger infections through treatment and prevention. We also hope to educate and provide support to puberty aged girls on issues of sanitation and hygiene during menstruation. Finally, we hope to increase mobility among the disabled community through the distribution of wheelchairs.
