Urgent Prayer & Help Needed | Hofu Children’s Home.

Friends, my heart is heavy tonight.

Last night on Saturday we almost lost 2 more children. Not because medicine wasn’t available. Not because we didn’t try. But because we had no van for transport to rush them to hospital.

With Musa, it was the same pain. We had to pray for him all night until morning, because no one could respond to our calls at night to help with transport. When morning came, we only got a motorcycle rush us to main road to get a taxi to the hospital. If we had our own transport, he would have gotten treatment earlier. We wouldn’t be fighting for his life like this right now.

I’ve been sharing about needing a home van many times. I know it may sound like a luxury. But it’s not. It’s life and death. Every minute we wait for transport, a child’s chance gets smaller.

We don’t want to lose any life in this way. I can’t carry that pain.

Please:
1. Pray with us for the children who are sick and for strength for our team
2. Share this post so more people see it
3. Donate if God puts it on your heart
4. Bring ideas - how can we best raise money for a home van? Your ideas matter

A van means faster hospital runs, taking our children to school, visitation etc . A van means children get to grow up. A van means no more “we were too late.”

Thank you for being family to Hofu. We need you now more than

Shorter version:
We almost lost 2 children last night. No medicine issue. Just no van to rush them.

With Musa we prayed all night until morning because no one could respond for transport. When help came, it was only a motorcycle. If we had our own transport, he would be stable by now.

A van is not luxury. It’s life.

Please pray. Share. Donate if you can. Comment ideas to help us raise for a home van. We can’t lose another child this way.

If you are led to give, you can wire your donation through!

Please stand with us in this hardest time.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST 🙏 Hofu Children’s Home

Family, please pray with us tonight.

One of our boys has slipped into a coma. The heavy rain and the fact that we don’t have our own transport caused a painful delay — it took us over 5 hours to get him to hospital. We had to call around and look for any means of transport while his condition grew worse but the car owners couldn't respond because it was night and no one was readyto help. We waited untill morning because we had nothing to do with transport because it was the only way to hospital unitl morning when we have gotten a quick bodaboda to hospital by God’s mercy. but he’s still unconscious.

Our hearts are breaking, and our other children are scared for their brother.

Please pray:
1. For his life — that Jesus the Healer touches him and wakes him up.
2. For the medical team — give them wisdom and steady hands.
3. For peace and strength for all our children and staff tonight.

We serve a God who hears. “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders… and the prayer of faith will make the sick person well.” James 5:14-15

Drop a 🙏 if you’re praying with us. We’ll keep you
updated.
You can help us with praying, sharing or giving towards the hospital bill for musa,it is not yet known how much it will tak us until we have the bill out and you need to first pay before treatment.

GOD IS FAITHFUL! 🙏❤️ Update from Hofu Children’s Home

Family, we have SO much to celebrate and we owe it all to YOU — our board, sponsors, friends & well-wishers!

Because of YOU, our children are now:
🛏️ Sleeping on NEW mattresses, bunkbeds & fresh bedsheets
🧣 Wrapped in NEW blankets on cold nights
🚻 Using the COMPLETED new girls’ latrine — clean, safe & full of dignity
🍽️ Eating well with food supplies you sent
🎒 Moving in to school with hope for their future

You didn’t just give things. You gave dignity. You gave hope. You told 27 children “YOU MATTER.” We see it in their smiles every day!

The boys latrine is soon to be completed as well.

NEXT UP IN PRAYER 🙌
1. Education Tour - Next month our children attend their annual education tour! We need help with transport, meals & facilitation so they can learn + dream big.
2. Finish Our Dining Hall - We’re believing God for windows, doors, dining chairs, tables + a finished floor. We want all our children eating together as one family!
3. Home Van- For emergencies, hospital runs & school transport. Our windows are OPEN if God is leading you to help us get one.

Every share, every prayer, every gift moves us forward. Want to partner? DM me directly and I’ll share details + send you photos of the impact!

From all of us at Hofu: THANK YOU for being family. You’re writing these children’s stories with us ❤️

Dear friends and partners,

I’m writing with exciting news and a humble ask.

A kind-hearted person has stepped forward and committed to give the rest of the money (5,500USD)for our vehicle we desperately need. That means we are not starting from zero — we’re almost there.

What’s left: We need 13,500 USD out of 19,000 USD to buy a Toyota Hiace for Hofu Children’s Home.

Why a Hiace:
1. Emergency ready — Sick child at night? Medical run to town? The Hiace gets them there fast and safely.
2. Built for Uganda— It’s an ordinary car, so repairs are easy and cheap. Parts are everywhere, even upcountry.
3. Daily dignity— School runs, food deliveries, hospital visits, community outreach… one van will change how we care for 40+ children every single day.

This isn’t just about buying a car. It’s about buying time, safety, and peace of mind for children who have already faced too much uncertainty. It’s about saying “yes” when a child needs help at 2am.

The gap is now 13,500 USD. With your partnership, we can close it and drive this dream home.

How you can help:
1. Partner financially — Any amount brings us closer. $20, $100, $500… it all matters.
2. Share this message — Your share could reach the one person waiting to bless this project.
3. Pray for safe provision— We trust God for the final stretch.

To everyone who has supported us before: thank you. You’ve shown our children that they are not forgotten. To those joining us now: welcome to a story that will literally move children forward.

If you feel led to give, please donate through
Paypal.me/hopeforuganda1 and put (VAN) as the reason of the donation.

Let’s put wheels under hope. Let’s give these children a van that carries more than passengers — it carries their future.

This is an exciting 🙌 need we don’t want to miss.
