Carry each other’s burdens and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." — Galatians 6:2
Every single day, I am reminded of the heavy price of love. Serving our precious children by safeguarding their rights and fighting to give them a meaningful future It's the greatest honor of my life but it comes with a cost.
There are days when my body is exhausted from carrying literal and emotional weights transporting supplies on bike. There are nights when my heart breaks and the tears just flow. But I don't complain I know that true, Christ-like love requires sacrifice. Jesus paid the ultimate price for us, so how can I complain about paying a small price for them?
What breaks my heart the most, though isn’t the physical exhaustion. It’s looking around and seeing so many authentic followers of the Lord who seem indifferent to the cries of the poor and the fatherless. James 1:27 tells us that pure religion is to look after orphans and widows in their distress.
We cannot close our eyes to their cries. I will keep pushing, keep carrying the luggage and keep loving these children with everything I have but we can’t do it alone. Will you stand with us?
