Many people think that only the RICH can help. Our aim in starting this organisation was to restore lost smiles amongst the children of our community. Many children in our community, come from poor families, and thus their parents cannot afford even feeding them twice a week, thus we came up with, Smile Again Children’s Encouragement. We shall always identify, and select orphaned and underprivileg
ed children from our community and other communities so that we can offer any possible help. This shall be done with contributions from the members of these organisation, contributions from well-wishers and donors if we get any. We believe that “Every child has a right to smile”
Our organisation, Smile Again Children’s Encouragement shall work to fulfil the following objectives:
- Sponsoring needy children to get education, scholastic materials and other basic necessities
- Starting up income generating activities for the parents or guardians of the orphaned and underprivileged children.
- Improving the well being of orphaned and underprivileged children.
- Promoting primary, secondary and vocational education to AIDS orphaned and other vulnerable children and youths.
- Providing care and support services to these vulnerable children.
- Promoting children advocacy and children rights
- Sensitizing the youth and the community about HIV/AIDS
- Promoting the health and well-being of the residents of the area and working together as residents regardless of age, ethnic origin, ability, s*x, belief or political affiliation recognising the value of our many differences.
- To educate, encourage and support the local population in children affairs by working with statutory and non statutory agencies.
- Promoting sport, community recreation and play facilities of the children.
- To raise funds and receive contributions where appropriate to finance the work.
- To publicise and promote the work.
- Make rules and standing orders for categories of members and their rights.
- Organise children meetings, training courses and events.
- Work with similar groups and exchange information and advice about children with them.
- Take any action that is lawful, which would help it to fulfil its aims. We call upon everybody wherever you are in this World to stand with us and help the children in Uganda. If God can be with us and we fulfil this, then we would have done our share of building the nation. For God and My Country. God Bless Uganda.
