LEADING CHANGE UGANDA is a not-for-profit organisation started by a group of young people in Uganda who want to create the change they want to see in the world. Leading Change Uganda is a registered not for profit, non-governmental organization started by a group of young people who wanted to create the change they wanted to see in the world among the children and women of Uganda. We strive to emp

ower children and young women to efficiently participate in social and economic development through training, access to education and assistance with their basic needs. Many communities in Uganda, irrespective of the people in such communities, cannot access quality education, information or basic needs. This is because the majority of people in these communities live below one dollar ($1) a day. Education is at the forefront of our mission. We understand that education is one of the keys to getting people out of the debilitating and dehumanizing clutches of poverty. And yet access to education, particularly for children in poverty, is not always available. That is why provision of free education is of paramount importance to the communities we work with.

LCU Emmergency Community Support Intervention
In a time where each of us has his or her own problems to sort out! Thank you for your prayers and hearing our cry for help. LCU collected One million shilling emergency support following damage of Ms. Nabakooza Dorothy a member of Kikunyu Women Group who lives in Kyabajwe village, Luweeo District whose house fell during the heavy rains that happened on Sunday on Mother's Day. The money collected is meant to support Dorothy to buy iron sheets and windows. Thank you so much for your kindness! Forever Grateful!

Today our Executive Director Ms. Lillian Nanteza was blessed to be the Guest of Honor to the first Graduation Ceremony at Vocax Startup Hub and Training Centre where the first cohort of the graduands graduated in cosmetology, Tailoring, hair dressing, public speaking, basic computer skills and catering services. Leading Change Uganda is in partnership with Vocax Startup Hub and Training Center to promote vocation education among the youth and women. We are happy to be working together ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to Stephanie and Jason and Mrs. Rosetta Batsakis who donated items to Leading Change Uganda. Mrs. Batsakis donated calculators and a wallet of CDs with text books and worksheets on them for the Community Reading Club and the children of LCU while Stephanie and Jason donated books, colours and clothes for the children. Your generosity is bringing hope, support, and smiles to the women and children in our communities.
