Girl Child Dream - GCD

Girl Child Dream - GCD At Girl Child Dream, we believe if we invest in the Girl Child, they will create positive returns for themselves, their families, and the world at large.

At Girl Child Dream, we start from a fundamental belief: Girls are inherently capable, but they often lack opportunity. We believe if we invest in the Girl Child, they will create positive returns for themselves, their families, and the world at large. We believe the children whose lives our work affects should decide how we’re run. And that’s what makes us different. We help girls use their own p

ower to fight poverty and injustice. Because that’s how real change happens – for families, for communities, for whole societies
For many girls around the world, access to vital reproductive and sexual health care and information is blocked — by poverty, a lack of basic services, or politics and war. Girl Child Dream works with local partners to overcome these barriers. On December 19, 2011, the United Nations General Assembly adopted Resolution 66/170 to declare 11 October as the International Day of the Girl Child, to recognize girls’ rights and the unique challenges girls face around the world. Hence at Girl Child Dream we are committed to realizing that adolescent girls have the right to a safe, educated, and healthy life, not only during these critical formative years, but also as they mature into women. If effectively supported during the adolescent years, girls have the potential to change the world – both as the empowered girls of today and as tomorrow’s workers, mothers, entrepreneurs, mentors, household heads, and political leaders.
