Rafiki Africa Ministries is a non-profit, NGO ( non-governmental organization), and Approved Children’s Home based in Kampala, Uganda, East Africa. Sara started going to Uganda on mission trips when she was 21 years old. She felt God leading them to start a Children’s Home for orphaned, destitute, and vulnerable children. The goal of the ministry is to provide children of Uganda with hope and a future through discovering Jesus Christ. The Childrens Home provides the love of Jesus, education, medical needs, food, and shelter in a family-style home for these beautiful children. After a child is placed into the Childrens Home, Rafiki works tirelessly to trace for the child’s family and ultimately reunite the child with their family or if no family is found to place the child in a loving, Ugandan foster family. Rafiki then continued to support the child in the family unit. We believe that God has intended children to grow up in families and we desire to empower families. Rafiki Africa Ministries is designed to not only help meet the needs of orphaned and suffering children in Uganda, but transform their lives. Rafiki Africa Ministries depends on the generosity of their sponsors, donors and volunteers.
