Teach For Uganda

Teach For Uganda We are nurturing leaders who are committed to advancing equitable access to quality education in low-income communities.

Teach For Uganda (TFU) is a locally-rooted and globally informed leadership development organization that is fully registered since 2016 as a non-profit organization in Uganda. We leverage the power and knowledge of promising future leaders to ensure that one day, all children in Uganda attain an excellent education, enabling them to thrive in constantly changing economies. Through our 2-year Fell

owship, we recruit and train Uganda’s top university graduates and young professionals from all academic backgrounds into full-time teacher-leaders and place them in high-need rural and underserved government schools to drastically improve the learning and life outcomes of children in far-flung communities. Our Fellowship is designed to give young leaders meaningful and impactful experiences at the heart of Uganda’s education challenge. Informed by their experience, alumni of the program (and, over time, their students) will work from inside and outside the education system to affect the fundamental changes necessary to ensure equitable access to quality education for all children in Uganda. Post fellowship, our alumni will join a network of like-minded leaders committed to the collective mission of nurturing leaders who are committed to advancing equitable access to quality education in low-income communities. We will also support our alumni to build their leadership capacity as educators, social entrepreneurs, and policymakers.

At 11 years old, Margret stands at the front of her class — chalk in hand, mind sharp, future wide open.

She doesn't just solve problems on the board.
She rewrites what's possible.

This is what it looks like when a child is seen, supported, and set free to shine.

This is why quality education matters.
This is why we do what we do.

Teach For Uganda is placing passionate leaders in underserved schools across the country , because every child like Margret deserves a champion in the classroom. Someone who looks at her and sees not just a learner, but a leader. 💙

Every number she writes is a story of potential unlocked.
Every child we reach is a future changed.

Be part of the story.

Today, we pause.

Good Friday is a reminder that the greatest act of service came through sacrifice, giving everything for others without expecting anything in return.

At Teach For Uganda, that spirit drives everything we do. Every Fellow who steps into a classroom, every child who dares to dream bigger, every community transformed, it's all rooted in the belief that service changes the world.

This Holy Day, may your homes be filled with peace, your hearts with purpose, and your hands ready to serve.

From all of us at Teach For Uganda, Blessed Good Friday. 🙏
