International Students Week in Kampala, 2019

ISWinK (International Student Week in Kampala) is an outstanding international festival in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, dedicated to students from all the corners of the world. The ISWinK concept was coined by a group of enthusiastic students who had daring ideas on unity, multiculturalism and friendship between countries. Created on the April 2, 2018, its visions is to prepare students to contribute to succeed in a rapidly changing environment, enabling them to make this world a better place.

This festival is dedicated to all students aged 18 to 30, who are enrolled in a university anywhere in the world. After applying, the students pass through a selection process and, if accepted, they come to Kampala to develop themselves, get to know new people, learn something new and make the first step to changing the world, making it a better place.

The workshops, which are the main activities for our participants, cover a lot of interest areas, varying from problems, faced by students worldwide to popular hobbies among youth. The public events that are part of the festival are dedicated not only to the international students, but also to people from Kampala.

These workshops, as the festival itself, have an educational purpose. Participants learn to use their knowledge, talents and learned skills to sustain themselves and help others while pushing the human race forward in areas of equality, equity and harmony.
