ELEVATE PROJECT:JOINT WORKSHOP ON EMPLOYMENT PONTENTIALS IN A DIGITAL WORLD -Italy📍📍

Hope 4 Life Uganda through was glad to participate in a joint mobility training in Sicily Catania -Italy on employment potentials in a digital era.

As a youth organization,we still ask this pertinent question :How can a young person in Africa use a smart phone to earn a living and make meaningful livelihood in this post-COVID 19 era?

The training also explored how youth are responding to:
• Digital economy and emerging job opportunities online
•Essential digital skills
•Digital entrepreneurship
•Social media as a career opportunity
•E-learning and continuous skill development
•The role of digital platforms in job matching and employment

The event also contextualized youth empowerment for youth in Africa and Europe.It was a moment of getting to know how youth from Europe are copying up with the global vice of youth unemployment. Funded by European Commission and coordinated by Impact Hub Sicily and

As we commence with project implementation being funded by European Commission ,we are happy to notify you that selection of youth workers is underway for those interested in joining the online training on climate change by 28th September,2026.

Further still, some of the selected youth workers who will participate in online training will be selected to participate in the in-person Capacity Building training in Zaragoza -Spain in 2027 for the same project.

We were honored to join Ghana- YAG, and stand in solidarity with the remarkable young leaders, innovators, and changemakers who gathered at the 6th African Youth SDGs Summit 2026 in Ghana.

The summit was more than just a meeting,it was a powerful space for learning, reflection, and meaningful dialogue. I leave inspired by the diverse perspectives shared, the practical solutions proposed, and the unwavering commitment of Africa's youth to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals especially in the field of Gender equality and good governance.

The thought-provoking deliberations reminded us that achieving sustainable development requires collaboration, bold leadership,leaving our comfort zones and a shared sense of responsibility.
While in the summit,every conversation reinforced the importance of empowering young people as active partners in shaping resilient, inclusive, and sustainable communities across the continent.

The knowledge,network and ideas exchanged will continue to inspire action beyond the summit through sustained collaboration and partnerships.
My sincere appreciation goes to the organizers, partners Youth Democracy Cohort elbarlament.org ALDA - European Association for Local Democracy People in Need and European Commission partnership for democracy who supported us to participte in the event. This event clearly aligns with the work of innitiative that aim to promote meaningful youth engagement where Humanees, Humanees and are part of the program.

We were thrilled to be invited during the info-session.we presented YCAN project,a 3 year climate innitiative being supported under Erasmus+,In the same space,we shared our experiences navigating the EU funding portal and many participants got inspired and more anxisious to start preparing for Erasmus mobility exchanges
