MGY is a non-profit organization founded in 2011 developed to help elevate awareness of health disparities through innovative technological solutions. The use of information communication technology (ICT) for health purposes has been transformative for rural and developing regions where much needed disease surveillance, health education, and technological training is critical for community health.

MGY offers community-based solutions with training, programming, and surveillance at a community level; we rely on community participation as an effective model for sustainability. Potential may come from one great idea; action must come from a community standing as one.

The Ugandan ambulance team have gone to Kampala for education updates and an EMS expo💪. Everyday, their service helps one more pregnant mother with postpartum hemorrhage or one more sick child with malaria get to the care that they need. We at MGY would like to take a moment to address the shuttering of USAID by the current US administration. It is difficult to speak of how wide-ranging the effects will be on worldwide health due to these infuriating decisions, but it is now a situation that we all have to deal with.

MGY will continue to dedicate our efforts both stateside and abroad to support, educate, and advocate for global health. We will continue to fight and believe that healthcare is a human right, regardless of birthplace, gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.

Now is the time to come together, support one another, and combat these abhorrent policies with love, education, and empathy.

If you are in the United States, we implore you to call your local representatives and make your concerns heard. Donate to a charitable organization. (It doesn't even need to be only us!)

Do not despair, do not give up. Create safe spaces. Build community. We are all in this together.

If you'd like to take action but do not know how, please reach out. It's usually not what we do, but we'll do it for you! 🥰
