All-Stars In Africa was initiated in Uganda in 2014 by Babu & Danae Kigongo. This program was started with a desire to bring the love of Christ to orphaned children and kids in poverty in Uganda through the medium of sports. So far, the program has put up four basketball courts, three in northern/western Uganda and one in Kampala. Through sports training and discipleship lessons, it is our belief
that the skills learned in the All-Stars program can have a huge impact on every child's life. The Gospel is the centre of our passion and focus in everything we do. Currently, All-Stars is working in the Katanga slum in Kampala. We have put up a basketball court for the kids, where they train every week. We have also helped build a children's centre/office where the Hope 4 Katanga Kids can meet. This space is available for the kids in our program to hang out, play with toys, read books etc. We have recently completed The Shoe Project where we raised funds to buy badly-needed sneakers for the kids who play basketball and they were all thrilled to get a pair of shoes! We are excited to see what things God has in store for the future for All-Stars in Africa. May all the glory and praise go to His Name!
