The Rotary Club of Makindye had the privilege of hosting the District Governor, Gerald Obai on his official visit to the club, accompanied by Assistant Governor Daniel Babonereirwe.
The visit reaffirmed the club's commitment to Rotary's mission while providing an opportunity to reflect on its achievements and align its vision with the priorities of District 9213.
In her remarks, Club President Florence Najjemba M. outlined the club's aspirations for the 2026–2027 Rotary year, with a strong focus on growing membership, strengthening fellowship, delivering sustainable community projects, supporting The Rotary Foundation, and building strategic partnerships to amplify impact.
Inspiring members to think beyond the ordinary, District Governor, Gerald Obai challenged the club to embrace innovation and intentional service, reminding them, "Let us focus on the crazy ideas and the little things that matter."
He emphasized that transformative change often begins with bold ideas, strengthened by simple, consistent acts of service. His message resonated deeply with members, reinforcing Rotary's enduring commitment to creating meaningful and lasting impact in the communities it serves.
